There's a rule that the marines don't know what xenos are until first contact. Understandable. However, do they not know of them from Aliens? Or is this a... PREQUEL?

Also, the yellow of Bravo Team's uniform makes them look like soldiers from Bad Company 2.

Colonial Marines isn't the Aliens universe.

This may or may not be first contact, but the Corp has no idea what the aliens are or where they came from. For all they know it's just something Science cooked up in Xenobiology and it got loose and overtook the station (which given the past of most SS13 servers, has probably happened more than once from Yellow Slime extract.)
