Survivor RP ideas

What do you guys do as Survivor on the Almayer once you're rescued? I usually either start stealing stuff from crates in the Hangar and Command Headsets from PO lockers, and then prowl maints and generally cause trouble. That is, of course, after I brief the CL on the alien's abilities and lifecycle. I try to tell them something related to the Survivor Notes the game gives you at roundstart; I either tell him about eggs and huggers, either about ventcrawling and lurkers, either about other ayys.


The last round was amazing for Survivor RP. Lynn and 3 other survivors managed to escape Prison Station, but not before making contact with a Predator. This very same Yautja came later on the ship, in order to bring back his fallen comrade's body and bracer. He found the body, but the problem was that the researcher attached the bracer to her arm! Me and 2 survivors decided to help the Predator.

We managed to get the researcher to talk to the Pred but, due to some MP's trying to taze the Pred and getting their heads chopped off, Command automatically thought the Pred was hostile. The researcher ran away, and the biggest ET hunt ever on the Almayer ensued, with both the XO and the CO hunting down the Pred, along with a full roster of MP's and some marines. The other 2 survivors died, and Lynn took a dead MP's clothes, along with her weapon.

After escaping a CL trying to enslave her with an implant and a Marine full-scale retreat, including the untimely death of the researcher and the removal of the bracer, Lynn and the Pred found the guy who had the Yautja artifact! One hell of a climatic fight ensued, starting with me killing a SO, a PO and the MP with the bracer. A Synth stunned me after that, and the Pred decloaked and started fighting the android, when the Alamo crashed on the ship, full of 20 angry xenos.

Of course, the Synth died fast, and the Pred took the bracer back to his fallen comrade. I've followed him, but the Yautja decided that he should self destruct, his mission of retrieving all of his comrade's gear having failed. Lynn packed up her stuff and took the Normandy back on the colony. She killed a young Hivelord and started setting up a small home in Warden's Office, when she found another Predator. Aaand... Round's over, no time for RP!

Hope this wasn't one boring AAR. If this one's been good, I'll try to write more.

I tend to mostly roleplay PTSD of some kind, like barricading myself in a small room or just being overly paranoid. Someone gave me the great idea of roleplaying as delusional, thinking that all of this is a gameshow and that you're the "winner" if you survive and get evac'd.

I generally go for a relatively inexperienced, paper-pushing type. Typical personal assistant. Particularly useless

In the off-chance that I actually make it to the Almayer, I generally wait around the Liason's office, feeling that it is the only safe place for a Wey-Yu employee.

The type that would laugh at what happened to the colony.
Maybe he just doesn't like the other people, maybe he's just bored as fuck with his job, point is he doesn't seem to really care.

If you're lucky with your beginning survivor role and skills, you could be able to nail a job with engineering or medical on the Almayer. If you're not, well you could always become a bodyguard or assistant to the corporate liaison (If they are willing to assist for the RP). Though sometimes you might be super unlucky with the CL not wanting to cooperate or simply your beginning role and skills, you could always cryo or just try and find someway to keep yourself entertained (without breaking the server rules of course) like actually becoming an unofficial chaplain and stuff like that.

Option 1:

Wait until xenos crush the Almayer (Survivor while boarding is a lot of fun)

Option 2:

Get an ID (to keep you from mines and sentry fire) and solid snake your way to the planet again and disguise yourself as marine and fight. (or just fight in your actual clothes).
