What rule(s) were broken: As a commander he decapitated me with his Metaba, with no trial, public announcement and without my character laying a finger on him.

Description of the incident: Alan Jones killed Misha Kabal for accidentally not setting the SMES to the max, which probably led to the blackout of CIC and for saying ''You roll that fucking Metaba one more time and I'll shove my bloody boots up my own ass and let you do my job instead if you feel like I am such a disability." How you would punish the accused: I would have him reviewed and warned or at most, banned for a month from the role of Commander.

Hey There.

As the person behind Alan Jones, I feel that it is right for me to give my input. I was also reached by staff in-game for this particular encounter by Mvp777.

While a BE for that may be a bit excessive, you basically asked for it. Losing power mid-op is something no commander or CIC staff is ever happy about. So naturally I will be yelling at you for it and as the commanding officer of the ship, i shouldn't be giving you ice cream so that you can keep power running, which is your job in itself. Which you, in your own screenshots refuse to do.

I went down to engineering to see what the problem was and I was simply inspecting you. I was asking you questions to see if this was an incident or actual neglect of duty. Perhaps the mateba-spinning thing may have been intimidating, however my intention was to make a tense moment inRP, bring some adrenaline to the situation and not take you out of the round. I was doing what a commander does, set discipline aboard the ship and you're supposed to be sweating when the commander is asking you for answers instead of throwing up some statement like that. And at that moment, you were way out of line and you did ask for it.

In any case I did make a public announcement later on explaining the BE. I do not have a screenshot of it, however the staff may check the logs to confirm at any time. I made those intentions public to the CMP ingame (NoD and insubordination) as well as to the moderator who reached me. Both of them received them and took no action.

I understand you may be angry about it, but your behavior towards the ship's commander in that face-to-face moment is not acceptable. At least not by my standards. It was indeed my first ever Battlefield Execution and I simply wish it hadn't been like that, however I do stand by my decision.

The bugs have retreated further north in the civilian residences. Regroup in the Residences and try to soften them up with OBs or CAS.

On another note, MT Misha Kabal is no longer with following a BE for NoD and blatant insubordination. A sad fate for out of line personnel. Shall the WO CMP have any questions they may reach me or HC via fax.

Do I personally think OOCly he was incorrect for BEing him? No, however your announcement does need to be prompt, nearly 15 minutes later is far too slow for your announcement.

My bad. It's Spooky696, yes. I will edit it. I'm posting this just so people know I goffed there. And for Arbs, I didn't ask for your perma ban or anything too excessive. Honestly you could just get away with this, but I felt like it was the right thing to do and I was saaaaalty. I still feel like you could've just went a step back and tell the MPs to arrest me for disrespect and fucking up in a bad time of the operation.

I understand. I was trying to roleplay a tense situation and as you can see in the logs I was interrupted once you let out that statement which is what you can consider lrp/shittery. And I have mentioned such cases in my CO application too. The annoyance of losing CIC power in a crucial moment when OBs were being loaded added to the heat of the moment resulted in that. It was not my initial intention to BE you, but rather straighten you back into line and as you can see I tried to talk it out with you.

And while a BE may seem excessive, I can justify it in that particular moment even though the MP alternative stands, had I kept a cooler head. (perhaps had our characters not been face to face like that too. I also didn't think we had any MPs at the time). Again, no hard feelings and nothing personal. It was my first BE ever and I wish it hadn't been over something silly like that.

As far as the announcement goes, the fact that it is rather delayed is because I had to spend some time sorting out power myself to power up the console, and by the time the CIC APC charged and power was back in the CIC it was the first announcement I made I think.

Hope we can find better interactions with each other in more enjoyable rounds.

Right, sorry for the delay, but this BE isn't anything over the line. If you're going to get an attitude with the CO, you're willing to take that risk to a possible BE. While we may be changing BE like these in the future, this isn't against the rules right now.

Regarding Arb, try to avoid disrespect BE's and make sure to announce directly after it happens.

Resolved - BE wasn't over the line, just don't give an attitude to the CO and you won't be at risk of being killed.
