Dear Crushers and Boilers...
I know you think you're helping by using acid spray/stomp on those captured hosts. But you really FUCKING AREN'T. STOP FUCKING DOING IT. IT KILLS THEM BEFORE THEY BURST AND IT'S ANNOYING WHEN YOU CLAIM YOU INJURE HOSTS TO MAKE THEM NOT RESIST WHEN THEY JUST DIE FROM THEIR DAMN WOUNDS. STOP IT. IT'S NOT FUN FOR EITHER SIDE. The marine is stuck in pain crit, likely to die before they burst and it takes away the point of guarding from sents and spitters. Your abilities are too strong to be used as fucking tools to make sure people don't escape nests.

Re: Dear Crushers and Boilers...
Honestly, I don't see why they do it. Sometimes a marine will be surrounded by eight xenos, and seven could be disarm swiping them and one devouring and the eighth on will crush or spray or something and sometimes instantly kill the easy capture.
I think they do it just to get kills, not to help with captures most of the time. A LOT of xenos prioritize kills way too much.
Hell, I've even seen them crush and spray facehugged marines. Once a carrier crabbed a marine and a crusher killed the marine with a crush. Was top kek.
Just disarm swipe, honestly.

Unlike slashing, burns doesn't cause shit like organ damage or IB, that's why they think they're helping.
Really, it's either acid or getting slashed to shit.

Dear Crushers and Boilers, you see the little fucko that just managed to break out and caused a bit of a ruckus over there ? I want you to walk over and stomp/spray that little shit into the ground to teach it a lesson, and bonus points if you can keep it there long enough to stomp/spray it a second time. You will be the hero of the hive, and your sentinels will thank you for saving them from such a boring job.

you know thats against the rules if they stomp/harm nested hosts, right? i'm pretty sure there's a thing against that somewhere

It's only if you're nested and infected. If you're just infected, you're free game. If you're just nested and a drone is bringing a hugger to you to infect but a runner kills you, you're still free game.
First part is self-explainatory.
Second part, I saw once as an SO, with my marine killed while the drone was planting an egg. Ahelped it too, got nothing.

Re: Dear Crushers and Boilers...
It's really nice knowing that should I get captured and hugged with a boiler nearby, that boiler without fail will run up to me and end my life to spare me the paincrit nest limbo. I appreciate parting from marine life with the taste of xeno salt all around me, as runners carefully slashed my limbs to prepare me for the nest and are now deprived of 30 seconds of their work in addition to a larva.
To all those kill securing boilers out there: Keep on keeping on.

Re: Dear Crushers and Boilers...
In the same vein, I seriously wish xeno players wouldn't slash a Marine to the point they fall over and then go to get them infected like that's perfectly fine. No, it's not, if you slash them until they fall over they're in crit and 9 times out of 10 won't even survive long enough to be brought to the hive, let alone the incubation period. Either learn to tackle and devour, let someone else handle the captures, or stop trying to act like you give a crap about getting hosts. The way the rules are set up right now, if I'm a drone and manage to get a hugger on someone during a firefight there's nothing stopping another xeno from walking up and slashing the hell out of them even if I'm in the process of devouring to get them back to the hive from cover.
I mean, hell, I've kept a trio of hosts from escaping in open nests before as a lone Drone and I'm far from robust. It's not that damn difficult to knock someone over and eat them to get them back to the hive and it's not that hard to keep them secure.

Re: Dear Crushers and Boilers...
I've seen every kind of caste besides Carrier slash newly hugged hosts.
It's not really a big deal.
Yeah you're losing a host, but you don't know what kind of condition they were in before they got beat up anyway.
And it's only 1 host... this happens a max of 5 times a round. Usually it's that whoever brought the host down (stunned) gets to "claim" what to do with the host. If they wanna slash, everyone slashes. And if a drone comes up and hugs that host they're not gonna just stop.
If it really bothers you so much and it's so easy to devour and bring to hive, do it entirely by yourself a couple of times a round. It is actually not that hard... under the right circumstances.

I play Xeno 99% of the time. All castes.

Re: Dear Crushers and Boilers...
Reuben, the issue is that it happens depressingly often, moreso than you claim. I've seen rounds, as a Drone handling the implantations, nesting, and defending of hosts where 10 hosts are brought in during a skirmish and most are in crit or pain crit. Of those ten, 5 died before I could even get a hugger on them and 2-4 others died partway through the incubation. The issue isn't just that they're slashing the everloving hell out of "newly hugged hosts" but that they're slashing the hell out of Marines they intend to bring back to the nest because they either don't want to tackle the Marines the entire way back and don't want to devour or they think slashing a host until they're on the ground makes guarding them easier. As I said above, slashing them until they drop to the ground doesn't make it easier, it just means the Marines are in crit and won't survive to get a hugger on them 80% of the time.
I rank this up there with the drones and hivelords on Ice that don't realize you can't make secure nests in the ice caves since the Marines will freeze to death since slashing a host into crit and dragging them back to be crabbed shows you understand the hive needs hosts, but you just don't care enough to stop cutting people to ribbons. Whenever I see a parade of T2s and T3s bringing me a collection of dying Marines and still insisting on them being hugged/crabbed, I want to scream at them that, no, I will not waste a facehugger on them because no, they will not survive to bursting in that state. If you're a Xeno combat caste that thinks you're "helping" by doing this, I'd honestly prefer you just slashed them into pain crit and moved on with your needless bloodlust since your actions both waste a host and pull a T2/T3 off the front lines where they're needed. As said above, it's worse on Ice since slashing a host even once or twice means they're usually going to die anyways since 80% of drones and hivelords refuse to make nests that aren't in the ice caves and incubation takes long enough that a marine with 50% health is still likely to freeze to death in the process.
