What are some of your best ideas for an Event?
As the title says, What are some of your cool Ideas for an event?
Mine is, Round starts off HvH. USCM vs CLF. Before the OP Begins, WY Sends a new 'Medicine' to the Corps, which rapidly heals all injuries to whoever takes it. A miracle drug of sorts. Makes the Marines nigh unkillable so long as they can get some. All announcements on the medicine would avoid talking about side affects in a way that COULD alert some people.
Round goes on as normal, until a Marine becomes a zombie (after they die, just after a certain period of time, something like that). Chaos ensues, rumors that the 'Miracle Drug' WY Sent is causing the outbreak, but is denied every time. Marines have to try to survive long enough to find the cause and develop a cure. (Helped by Admins towards researchers)
So, What are your ideas?

I myself think it would be interesting to have a variation of HvH, but instead of UPP/CLF, it is a warband of primitive, low-tech Yautja, who fight with javelins and spears and wear more primitive armor and low-tech masks.
Shame we can't field large numbers of Yautja for such events due to whitelists, would be kinda cool to see how that would play out.

I feel like shipside synths are a lot of RP potential, but aren't ever used during events, or events on their own.
Rogue synth doesn't have to mean "grab gun kill human", but there is so many routes you could go with this that doesn't affect the round in a major way. The synthetic gains emotions, allegiance to xenos after meeting one, maybe even a colony synth that helped them escape.
An emotionless, logical, and intelligent lifeform that doesn't require food or sleep, can basically live for eternity, is a lot of RP potential and event potential that isn't used as much as it should be in my eyes.

Well couple ideas.
Soft-Antag role like David who goes wonky and wants to learn more about the xenomorphs, maybe who has a goal to get one on the ship and grow his own caste.
Full-antag role of a synthetic sleeper who had his programming corrupted by CLF, and does not have to follow the laws.
Two synths on the ship, one of them is an older model, and the other is a newer model. They are trying to out perform each other and are doing a test run on for The Company to compare both models. The one that under performs will be "recycled"

Unforeseen Consequences
Plot: The Marines Respond to a distress call over Solaris Ridge with little more information than the facilities have gone dark.
In truth the complex on Solaris Ridge had been digging into the Xeno genome and doing dubious things. At some point this has attracted the attention of a Clan ship in the area, After scans and recon the Predators deemed this a threat to the natural balance and highly dishonorable. They decide to silently slip in and let loose the very thing the Complex was working on, upon itself to create a great hunt out of a heresy.
Things go as they do and the complex falls with a few survivors held up in the Bar and the complex goes silent, Distress signal is sent by automation, and the USMC Ship arrives. Upon arrival the Clan ship opens fire and disables the ships engines, forcing it to the ground, it crashes into Virology planet side and digs into the mountain.
The USMC ship is in tatters with a few escape pods falling randomly on the Solaris Ridge complex, What was a rescue has turned into a fight for survival for some and for others an even greater hunt.
How will it work: This is going to be a pain in the ass to make but would pay off if done right.
Its gonna be a long pre round and i mean long, we will need Predators, Queens, Survivor Volunteers, and CO's to be present a well as a majority of the staff.
The staff will need to start editing the map immediately and put down the crashed ship chunks, escape pods. and just random damage / debris.
The bar will need to be fortified in a well but not to over the top manner with at least 6 people with assorted rifles and pistols with a mag or two spawning on for each player.
All but the Xenos, Predator, and survivors need to be put in the thunder dome on hold or how ever that works where you hold the marines.
The Xenos need to have a bunch of extra larva to account for the supposed attack and time passed.
A lodge will need to be setup as well.
The crash sites and escape pods would need to have random assortments of Weapons, Ammo, Armor, Meds, Ect. spawned in them for when the marines are spawned in.
The Co will need to spawn in the main chunk being the CIC that has imbedded into the mountain, anyone being spawned into the crashed chunks need to be injured pretty heavily. Anyone in escape pods should be completely fine but who goes where other than the CO should be a random pull.
Once every thing is in place and we get everyone where they need to be the round commences
The Players' Goal:
The Predators are out for the biggest baddest trophy, The Xenos wanna.... well xeno, and the Humans want to figure out just what the fuck is going on and try to call for help.
This is my overly complicated idea.

A colony containing dozens of Synthetic workers goes dark, the Synths having turned on the human colonists due to a bizarre, ongoing solar phenomenon degrading their components over time and causing them to malfunction. The marines investigate, and engage in combat with the synthetics. As the operation unfolds, a message from W-Y comes into CIC, about the Almayer's marines having been integrated with a contingent of experimental, next-generation, combat-capable synthetics. Designed to be indistinguishable from humans so that they can fit in seamlessly with existing units, the Almayer was chosen for a blind test, with permission from High Command, to determine whether the new synths could really pass for real marines. The synthetics themselves, to aid with their realism, are programmed to believe that they are human. By this point, however, they may have begun to notice that their blood isn't quite the right shade of red, or that they don't really seem to feel pain to the same degree as some of their comrades. And, under the light of the new sun, they begin to have unfamiliar thoughts.

Plot: map takes place in research facility where scientists are doing research on xenomorph lifeforms (this is like 5 years after the USS Almayer) they have the queen locked up her with larvas in a highly contained area until she eventually breaks free with her babies and begins her assault on the entire facility, it wont be difficult since the security gaurds and the Scientists lack combat experience but they must send a distress beacon to the uscm and await around the same waiting time as it takes for the marines to deploy, during that time the scientists and security gaurds must do whatever it takes to survive and slow down the queen long enough for the uscm to arrive, however since there's a 60 over 40% chance of them being able to do this the queen will usually take over the facility before the marines arrive leaving the remaining facilities inhabitants one goal left and thats to survive, and when the USCM arrive thats when the marines vs xenos theme style play begins, that means the marines either beat back the xenos on the planet (facility) or the xenos overpower the marines making them retreat back to their ship then later assaulting them on the uss almayer.

Extended Round based on Reno's idea somewhat
Short Summary of Idea: We take some base humans, spawn 'em in green (which I know can be done as I've seen what the gauntlets of preds has done to marines in some events) and start saying they Arcturians. Kit them out with CLF equipment and we say they are Arcturian Freedom Fighters from the Arcturian Liberation Army.
Long Summary:
You could start the round with some pre-setup similar to that of your standard and simple CLF v Marine round. Setup a base for the Arcturian Liberation forces and give them what they need. Once that is ready, start the round with a bang by having ARES announce something along the lines of : "Planetary based Anti-Ship Missiles incoming." Blow up some minor parts of the Almayer. Wait a bit and have ARES announce, "Scanning Planetary launch site. Countermeasures engaged. Missile Silo eliminated." Then, "Ground Assault required. Enemy forces remain dug in with AA emplacements" When the marines go to land maybe even add some more chaos and RP by having ARES announce "Planetary AA fire." and drop a SMALL bomb on or near the Alamo.
After these things are done, not much more chaos needs to be done although a minor ARES announcement of "AA Emplacement eliminated" may be necessary for RP.
Ways to spice this or a similar event like CLF v Marine up:
Have ARES announce that the USS Almayer has linked up with another USCM fleet and you are attacking >insert map< while other marine battalions assault other locations on the planet. Purely RP but kind of a epic idea.
Alternative Idea:
Boarding a large, damaged UPP ship/station due to the outbreak of USCM v UPP space war. How? Make a decent ship with sensible interiors next to the Almayer. Preferably south of the main hanger. (How it would look if ghosted and zoomed out would be the USS Almayer next to a similar in size UPP warship.

We should have a round where we recreate the xeno breakout... but where the distress beacon attracts a Deathsquad, meant to silence the survivors, kill the xenos and nuke the outpost. Kinda like Half-Life but with xenos.

Atmos hasn't been in a while...sadly...and thankfully.
As for space combat...pretty freaky stuff it'd be. Especially as the Compression suits if hit, slashed or shot can leak and you can start getting minor effects of being in a no oxygen, high pressure area.

A event that involves the Marines and Aliens is always worth investigating.
Perhaps an event where the Marines are fully informed of the Xenomorph threat, via the Commander, prior to dropping (which won't change anything) and are given by Wey-Yu a prototype pheromone control device.
The goal of the Marines is to take the device to a predetermined area of the map (such as in Hydro on LV) and they have to defend it for a set period of time, half an hour or more. If the device is kept standing for the duration, all Xenomorphs on the map will fall under the command of the Marines and will no longer be hostile (forced via 'fake' Queen Mother messages).
The goal of the Xenomorphs is to destroy the device before that can occur. In order to help compensate for the difficulty the Xenos would gain access to additional larva and pre-grown Xeno bodies.
I would argue if the Marines succeed that you can then introduce a third, more powerful, faction that the Marines and Xenos have to fight. UPP, Predators, Deathsquads. The final task should boil down to surviving the onslaught on the planet until the admins are satisfied.

You know what I'd like to see? An event where xenos have a "rogue" synth on their side. The synth would've been sent by WY to conduct and maintain the bioweapon experiment that are the xenos. Their job would be to capture marines the xenos crit and stabilise them enough to get them infected. It would be really interesting to see people's reactions to getting revived only to be infected and strapped into a nest while the synth watches them creepily and has a taser on hand...

An Almayer refit round.
take a snapshot of the Almayer after any xeno major. It made it back somehow, I unno.
everyone spawns as MT's in an attempt to fix up the ship. a couple of CE's as squad leaders, a couple crates full of metal, then go nuts fixing as much damage as you can.

everyone spawns as MT's in an attempt to fix up the ship. a couple of CE's as squad leaders, a couple crates full of metal, then go nuts fixing as much damage as you can.
