The absolute state of Squads

Post by Daturix » 09 Aug 2018, 18:11

Meme title.

But in a recent round I was MP, while the marines were down fighting and all was quiet aboard the Almayer I decided to go clean the squad's prep rooms.

Started with Charlie, kinda decently messy, took me about 4 minutes. Okay kinda seemed normal as I'm a charlie person.

Went onto Delta, jesus it was a fucking mess, took me about 9 minutes to clean it all up. Savages.

Offloaded the collected stuff I couldn't place back in the vendors to req.

Went up and checked out Bravo, barely much, took me all of 2 minutes to clean it.

Went up to Alpha and it took me about 3-4 minutes. Okay...

So, the squads in ranking of prep cleaniness goes for the most clean to least is:
Bravo.
Alpha
Charlie
Delta

Well. Delta get fucked.

It's almost like their respective cleanliness reflects something else about the squads.

Bravo's practice of making really good-looking FOBs rubs off on their ability to make their prep look good. Shame about everything else though!

Can I bring up the question of who are those wonderful marines that spam the canteen vendors? Gotta have my 20 pizzas.

The best part is when you look at Delta, you notice they have a hilarious habit of leaving half-empty shotgun boxes laying around because they don't grab the ones on the ground to empty first.

Delta doesn't waste time worrying about your mortal concerns for cleanliness.

One thing worth noting is that on lowpop Delta regularly has double the marines of the other squads in addition to our inherent slobby nature

We are utter animals, with no higher thinking function other than "Unga".

Seems pretty accurate to me.

Honestly if I'm Delta and I grab a shotgun I tend to just gather buckshot or slugs that are laying around, then empty the remaining boxes, and only then get a new box to fill my rig. Since you can't put the boxes of shotgun ammo in your bag (as far as I know) it's not really worth cleaning up after everyone else in the squad when Req has an annoying habit of closing down a while before briefing and not opening back up until well after the first drop (when MPs and the rest of your squad are getting annoyed at you for not deploying immediately) and there's always at least one thing I need from req.

That reminds me, Delta has this hilarious habit of loading a shotgun and then just dropping whatever is left of the handful of buckshot/slugs on the ground while also ignoring every other handful of slugs. There've been rounds where I was a late joiner and found enough random buckshot laying on the ground to fully load my shotgun.
