1.Unity- is the best to lead your squad in a best way, without UNITY the other squads will discriminate you for not being a good leader. Sometimes most marines are new every round that's why it's hard to achieve unity but try it.

2.Communication- In reality marines really needs to do communicate each other, so in game without comms don't expect your squad is a good squad try to become more talkative, don't be afraid if your grammar is bad the important thing someone understands you.

3.Respect- don't act like a fool in your squads and try not to talk back to your squad marines, it doesn't mean you are good leader because more players know you already. Just respect when your squad marines is not good enough or not competent.

4.Discpline- Act a squad leader don't act like a immature marine, have you ever see a leader acts like fool in reality? No, so learn to discipline yourself and follow the orders of Command.

5.Humble-It doesn't mean your squad marines are baldies you can insult them any words can hurt them, remember even this is a game some people got hurt. Be Humble and Understanding.

Be where your squadmates can see you so they know they can rely on you, congratulate them when they do something good, brook no plebs who try to challenge your authority by making up the most creative insults you can to put them in their place.

Never call MPs on your squad or another squad, always back up what your squaddies say when they're blamed for something by MPs. Dick about with your fellow SLs, build a bond so that they'll bring their squad to support you if you're in trouble. Completely disregard Command if they decide to give you suicidal orders, and explain why to your squad.

Help intent is your friend. See a guy on the floor, shake them up. If they don't get up, drag them away.
