Trying to change end of round mentality
So I just got banned today for EORG. I was shot by 2 different marines so I shot them back. I realize the mistake, that I should of just ahelped but that doesn't sit right with me. Why do we have to change the way we act ICly at round end from players with unique personality to potatoes that ghost? I don't really like to ahelp, and prefer to rp things out; I got into a fistfight earlier in the round with the Charlie SL, surely it could have been someone looking to just rough me up a little... I went on to the discord and I was told to either ahelp, ghost, do something else, or just let them shoot me. This frustrates me, because it eliminates possible rp after a heated battle and breaks the immersion, telling you that you have to be a vegetable until the next round. Someone on the discord said that I could post this in general so I hope that's alright, gitlab is down. I'm hoping some other people feel the same way and I'm gauging opinions. Please reply <3

Re: Trying to change end of round mentality
Morning/Evening Amigo, EORG doesn't have any warnings so expect the staffs will ban you and I believe that two marines also got EORG banned not only you. Next time read the rules, man. You can AHELP those Marines who shot you, you don't need to revenge or fire them back. Keep always in your mind that the are Rules strict in here.
I can share you my exprience last May 5th, 2018. The round is over I received a EORG also that I even didn't commit and without hurting myself, the turret killed the xeno and I keep shooting it so one of the moderators banned me for nothing.

No I know what I should have done, and I'm not saying I'm right, I just feel like it'd be more fun for everyone if we allowed people to act the way they normally do ICly, and am hoping to maybe get a tweak in the rules...? Here's hoping haha.

Re: Trying to change end of round mentality
There's no mentality about it. It's because it generates excessive combat logs at the end of the round which (I presume) make diving for normal logs all the more difficult. There's usually not much combat RP that you can engage in with fellow marines during the last 60 seconds before the round restarts anyways.

There’s a giant message that says any EORG is an automatic 3 hour ban.
If someone attacks you that shouldn’t we’ve repeatedly tell people to ahelp it and not shoot back

I'm not saying the ban was unjustified, I realize my mistake. I just thought it'd be more fun if we changed it, but after hearing that it's sort of a technical issue, I changed my mind. Sorry.

Re: Trying to change end of round mentality
Reasons:
1) even after round end we still expect players to be in character
2) we don't want to delay round end to spend few minutes question you about reasons. Especially since during that delay we can get more eorg
3) if you are attacked by xeno round end and think you can hit other guy just ahelp "Xenos!" And we will know to check for aliens
4) if there are no aliens, there is zero reason to hit your own at all

Re: Trying to change end of round mentality
Also this weekend we had 3/4 round ends before the round was actualy over. All of them we had a delay of at least 15 minutes. You dont want half the marines to suicide or ff in such a situation. It is not hard to have all marines follow the rule always. It is hard to have marines follow the rule only when you let the round continue.
