Reason for ban (If you have a Permaban, it should be the EXACT MESSAGE YOU GET WHEN YOU LOGIN with the Error code that looks like this: X##XXX##. If you do not provide this EXACTLY you can't be unbanned): I was playing as a Staff Officer leading Bravo, and the CO/Xo had made a bad call and killed almost my entire squad. It was pandemonium, and my character was roleplaying as an anxious butterbar. When he saw the swarm of Xenos appear on a helmet cam storm the DS, he pulled back RP'ed a "panic" on the bridge and promptly committed suicide. Not seconds after the suicide our internet went out. When I logged in the next day I saw that I'd been role banned for "killing myself and disconnecting." The suicide was intended, the disconnect was not. I've been sharp as a SO and I really would like to continue my career on the Almayer learning how to be a better SO, so I humbly implore those in charge to review my situation for appeal.

I'm tempted to +1 this, but two things need to be cleared up :
- You wrote your appeal in the "reason for ban" field.

- I'm not sure you realise what you did wrong exactly.

Could you please addresss those issues?

Ok so after reading your appeal I must agree with Tharinoma, I get the sense you dont understand what you did wrong. What have you done since your ban to ensure you wont make the same mistakes again?

I misunderstood the form and typed in what I believed my 'reason for ban' was, and it morphed into an appeal. I apologize.

Thank you for the replies. I believed at the time that I was acting within the soft RP guidelines, but I understand now that it was not appropriate (suicide in the midst of a mission with no xenos on board). I got a little too in to the "panicked SO" role and I will not do that again. It also didn't help that the internet cut out--I was traveling and playing on airport wifi. I can see how an admin at the time took it.

I've been learning every day I play on SS13 since my first login in May, and I would love to continue growing my career as a Staff Officer. I made a minor mistake and I will not repeat that again. Thank you again for your consideration.

I don't have a problem with this being lifted, if you understand that unless you have a valid RP reason to suicide (Surrounded by xenos, infected by a zombie and turning warm etc...) not to do that.
