Are you familiar with the Predator Code Of Honor?
I've taken much of my time to read it both on the CM forum link, and on the AVP wiki. I've got a good handle on it, and I'll never be afraid to review it in a brisk manner every time I decide to join the hunt, particularly on my first month or so.
Character background (An ADEQUATE description and story of your predators background):
► Show Spoiler
When comes the time when the unbloodied go to earn their blood and title. It is usually in a group with a single bloodied or elite trainer. This was the case for Hun'tath-Deth.
He was a quiet, a bit taller then usual unblooded trainee who focused primarily on his training. He never felt the sense to bully any of the others due to his size, instead knowing that the hunt--and the victory achieved during the hunt--was most important of all.
He was a loner, too. No yautja on board bothered to ask why he never joined up in their little games or sparring sessions. They already knew his answer. He merely wanted to mind his training with the Elite and take his beatings for failure. It was the only way he would learn.
The bloodening day had finally arrived. The grinding noise of the yautja vessel growled through the still air around the hunting temple. The Elite, Hun'tath's mentor, had already launched the armory pods across the hunting grounds, seeding the area with their payload of sub-par weaponry and armor.
Hun'Tath didn’t waste any time picking unnecessary fights. While the youths around him had already rushed forward to claim the best for themselves, he merely grabbed a piece of plate from a nearby pile. It was obviously old and more than a little small, but it would do. For now.
Another yautja, smaller than Hun'Tath, stood in his way and pointed an ancient hunting sword at the breastplate, declaring his claim. He wanted the armor. Was he foolish enough to believe himself capable of taking it?
Hun'Tath quickly left the youth mewling on the ground behind him as he strode away from the armory piles, newly acquired hunting sword in his hands. Now he was ready.
Soon after the rest of the youths poured into the temple to find their own prized serpents to kill. The young blood managed to make his way inside like the rest. It was moist, warmer than usual and smelled of rot.
He was too occupied taking in his senses when he felt a huge cracking blow across his back which caused him to slam, shoulder first, against the resin covered wall. Pieces of the plate fell to the ground in a loud cracking noise as the Hunter twisted around to see his foe.
It was a serpent, half his size and covered in black chitin. He didn’t feel much of the pain besides the impact thanks to the armor he snatched.
The armored Yautja barely had even a second to twist to the side as the hardmeat lunged and cracked it’s second mouth into the stone where his neck used to be. Quickly using his size and strength to his advantage, the Yautja kicked the back of the prey forward into the stone wall, hearing a loud crack of breaking and shifting chitin.
This resulted in a cry of pain and rage from the serpent, and a decent amount of time purchased. He quickly drew the hunting sword from his side and while holding the hunted in place by it’s twisting head, he swung the sharp end of the blade against the back of the neck of the worthy hunt.
Suddenly all resistance fell away as the meat’s head came clean off the neck with the body now uselessly flopping to the temple floor, jetting it’s hissing blood through the freshly opened neck. The loud sizzling of the melting blade in one hand as the combination of acid blood and metals drip to the floor. He dropped the now worthless blade and made his way out of the temple to present his trophy and glory.
The bloodied predator learned a few things on his bloodening. Most importantly though, he learned that if stealth fails and the hunt finds him first, a single piece of armor can prevent the early visitation of the Eternal Hunt.
The freedom he felt when he was handed his pair of wrist-blades and a functional (and fitting) set of armor was as comparable as the kill he made in the temple. Armed with the tale that he survived a mighty serpent's blow with a sole piece of armor and his new name. Hunt'Tath-Deth the Lone Armorer, alone in the temple he went, saved only by what he wore.
How do you intend to play your predator (as in, describe HOW you will act/play your predator)?
I'd hope to have a very maelable Yautja. The most notable thing I won't stray from though, is the act of brute force with more armor to back it up.
I would also prefer melee weapons by far above ranged weaponry, and mild use of traps for when faced with prey faster then his own two feet. The clan sword would be my go-to for most cases unless I felt a need to change things a bit.
Another notable thing is the fact that the Predator likes solitude when he isn't currently stalking prey, he will very rarely converse with humans and his own kin unless it was something very important. Prey claiming, potential Abomination risk
from a captured predator, dishonorable prey and the death of another Yautja will most likely pull a response out of him. Most of his communications will be either by custom emotes or very few words by mouth or translator.
I also would tend to avoid use of the camouflage, as said earlier, I would rely off armor over the wrist-camogen unless stealth is REQUIRED in a high action zone. IE: Risking to board the Almayer to retrieve a Yautja corpse or gear if it's really important or escaping an ambush from dishonorable prey who he knows he can't handle with sword and his armor alone.
One last thing would be the fact that my Predator tends to enjoy studying, training and occasional research. So long times of observation of notable prey, hunters, or taking lessons from far more experienced Yaujta would be quite fun to attempt to Role play out.
Why should we whitelist you?
I've played Colonial Marines since the Nostromo and Gamma Green Squad days. I've had very little to no conflict with the staff and the rule set of the server. I've always enjoyed role playing as something very unique whenever I got the chance too. I will admit that it's always been my goal to go for this since the predator's arrival within the server, but I've never had the time until now to make an application.
Admittedly, I am a very little known figure in the Colonial Marines community. I tend not to post on the forums. I do speak quite constantly when I'm on the Discord, now that I've rejoined it lately. But I'd hope to change that by my gameplay later on as either my marine, or potentially by predator.
Most importantly, I happen to enjoy roleplaying any situation that presents itself or any unique role that I'm given.
I will also be happy to answer any questions given to me about my application.
Have you been banned from CM in the last month for any reason (we will check, and lies may result in immediate denial)?
Nope!
Are you currently banned from any other servers and if so, why?
Not any server as far as I know!
Do you understand that any player - donor or otherwise - can have their whitelist status revoked should they break our rules or disobey the Predator Code of Honor?
I completely understand.
The one who plays the old soldier by the name of Jay 'Old' Wings. The old Delta.
Making old jokes is mandatory.
