Preferred Squad Leader loadout
What's your favourite class type as a SL?
Scout,Assault,Sniper,Medic, or otherwise.
Also what do you carry with these classes?
Pouches gear and weapons of what kind?
Just wanted to seek more knowledge of what other players think

Shove all my basic kit in my pockets, grab a rifle. Dole out two or three flamers with spare tanks. Spend the rest of the points on motion detectors to hand out. Pretend to be a loud standard for the rest of the round.

Re: Preferred Squad Leader loadout
The most important things for me as an sL are the motion tracker and the tac binos. If I have those anything else works.
My SL loadout is:
Important stuff that lets you chase xenos down and tell you where to call in OBs.
1xTacBinos
1xMotion Detector (waist slot)
1xM41A (RDS+UGL)
4x M40 HEDP (2 in armor, 2 loaded in UGL) (used to stun boilers or clean sticky goop/eggs during pushes, more useful than it sounds)
4x EXT M41A magazines (in pouch and rifle)
3x AP M41A magazines (in webbing)
In satchel:
1x M4A3 (rail light + laser sight)
3x M4A3 mags of your choice (one loaded)
2x C4
A pair of marine ballistic goggles, a box of premium cigars and a zippo lighter.

Re: Preferred Squad Leader loadout
Just by you saying that, i know your a good SL, or atleast someone that wants to survive/win.
Usual SL loadout :
Two large general pouches full of mags for whatever primary weapon ive picked.(sometimes i load webbing/armor with secondary weapon mags if its a different gun
, or also with primary)
Motion tracker on the waist.
All smaller items(tactical binos, C4, extra splints) go in your backpack because it takes less room, and use all pouch(pocket), armor and webbing slots for mags only.If there is any left over space, fill it with mags of choice.Sometimes i put a handgun with mags in there to have a third or forth weapon on my person instead.
Knife in boot, whistle on face, two EAT bars in helmet, armor light switched on, sunglasses usually covering eyeballs.
Usual weapon mods/loadouts :
M4 with flashlight/laser sight
M4 with RDS/laser sight
M4 with RDS/UGL
M4 with railscope/UGL
M4 with RDS/vertical grip
M39 with RDS/burst fire adapter
M39 with flashlight/burst fire
M39 with RDS/laser sight
M39 with RDS/vertical grip
Depending on alot of factors determines what weapon loadout i have and whether i have chosen the M4 as the primary and M39 as secondary, or vise versa, like how many people are online, what map, size of squad etc, sometimes i even take two M39's or two M4's.However the secondary weapon that is going in the armor slot and not my hand will always have a flashlight on it to stack lighting with the armor light, the armor light alone is not enough.
I also dont focus on getting as much AP as possible that much, as theres a good chance i might hit a marine during the OP and it wont hurt them as much, but any AP that comes my way is welcomed and will replace any standard mags i have. Its also good not to have a reliance on AP ammo i think and i like to know that im effective with standard ammo. Therefore when i do have AP, theres a good chance im going to kill you.
Max Dallas has been hit in the chest by the M40 HEDP grenade.

To PFC Max Dallas, who kept doing the path between the frontlines to FOB (the only place with medical aid) with a roller bed, and saved a lot of marines who'd have husked otherwise. And to Dr. Haley Altman, who after all medics were gone was fixing us time and again for hours straight. At the end there were over 10 patients around her either dead or in crit, and she just kept going."

Re: Preferred Squad Leader loadout
Basic utility sarge loadout;
2x general bags:
1 meds or ammo(tram, splints, analyzer)
1 tools ( crowbar, screwdriver, wrench)
Webbing: essential binoculars, c4.
Armor: special ammo or meds
Belt: motion detect
Weapon: m41 marksman ( scope, stock, suppressor, burstfire.) or flashlight flamer loadout
Backpack: spare lights, 2 medkits basics with extra splints and analyzers. Steel stacks for barricades on the fly, probably welding helmet and electrical gloves if things are getting too intense and the squad needs a stronger position.
No whistle, nobody cares about a noisemaker. An extra flamer and tank for everyone. Rest of points dropped on buying motion detectors. Or flamers and extended mags for anyone asking.
This loadout all about jack of all trades , supporting the squad. Flamer and meds if your playing rear guard. M41 and extra ammo if you need more dakka.
I like the suppressor because people seem to freak out at losing a ton of hp without any sound. The extended barrel needs testing, but honestly, 4 stealthy shots from downtown is awesome.
Never forget, the sarge is trained to handle meds, to do basic engineering, and to take over any specs weapons in case they fall. Why act as another unga marine. Fill what your squad is lacking

Re: Preferred Squad Leader loadout
Weapon doesn't really matter much.
1 General pouch: Binocs, brute and burn meds. Always have the Binocs as the last thing in there to quickly draw out some targets for those lonely CAS, OB and mortar strikes.
1 Large ammo pouch: Any kind of ammo, mainly AP rifle ammo.
Belt is really anything these days.
In the webbing shall be 3 stacks of C-4.
The armour shall contain more C-4, but you know, tank isn't here anymore so I have no fucking idea what to do.
Gotta have the motion tracker, an advanced first aid kit and the rest in AP cause fuck it, I have these points might as well get them.

Tac binos.
C4.
Motion Detector.
That's what you need.
The rest just suits your playstyle.
Mines are :
- Shotty Gyro RDS Bayo + Emergency Shotty Gyro Flashlight Bayo. Rest of points solely used for squad at their discretion (I have to juggle between my weapons)
- Shotty Gyro Flashlight Bayo + M4A3 QF LS. Good for chasing T1 & T2, bucky is for tougher targets, preds, or T3. Around 18 to 21 points used on AP M4A3 mags. (Have 2 large mag pistol pouches, transfer your medical first-aids to satchel).
- Shotty Gyro Flashlight Bayo + M41 RDS AG. More powerful, yet, less convenient for the hunt.

Re: Preferred Squad Leader loadout
Aside from the standards that Kesserline mentioned, I usually pack an M41A with whatever attachies I feel, a few M41A mags, and lastly a pistol with a quick fire, as well as many fancy mags for it I can get. I love that little pistol.
Standard ammo belt with M41A
Rifle on back
Pistol in suit slot
Extended pistol mag pouch and medkit pouch.
AND A BOOT KNIFE, NEVER FORGET YOUR BOOT KNIFE FELLAS!

You can fit a pistol holster in the suit slot. It'd let you ditch the pistol mag pouch and use something else like a general pouch or first aid pouch.

Re: Preferred Squad Leader loadout
This here is the Chad SL loadout: M41A RDS/VG/BC for killing T3s and the Queen, Flamer in the suit storage mostly for clearing resin but also killing hunters and runners. Your ammo belt has 5 AP mags in it and your rifle has AP loaded when you drop. Your webbing has an M15, to pull the pin and yell "OORAH!" with when you get punished for pushing hard.

Also, if you want to be the Ignored-SL in any Charlie or Delta squad, be the SL that spends 10 minutes asking for a HPR to RO, then, be trigger happy on the firing line, get one of the first to die/abandonned and looted by your own men.

Loadout doesnt really matter, just follow the good orders from command and ignore dumb orders(if possible, argue if you can), don't be retarded and dont get severely wounded/killed.
Equpiment loadout is literally the same for everyone.
Bino, M.Detector...ect..
As for the gun.
get your m41 a masterkey, mag-harness and spam ap mags for the best of both worlds

How can you go from saying something so right after saying something so wrong?
They do care, and i know they care because they scream "my fucking ears SL! God damn it, im right here, F#$@!!"
And if you'd been paying attention lately, you can actually hear SL's sometimes communicating with other SL's some distance away, ive done it myself with a few.

My favorite part about getting Delta SL is treating them like Alpha/Bravo, using my whistle, alot.Half the time they fall in line.

Re: Preferred Squad Leader loadout
My SL load:
Helmet:Either Protein bar and flask of coffee, or a Oxy Inj if i can get one off a med.
Webbing: Pulse mags (usually extended)
Armor:c4,Tacnocs.
Suit slot: Shotgun (Cuckshot, Railflash, Bayo,(Anglegrip if i can get two))
Belt: Motion detector (Bae)
Back:Satchel (Adv. First aid kit, (coif or gasmask), Ammo (usually standard mags)
Boots: Knife
Large general pouch: Health scanner, trauma kit, burn kit.
Large Mag pouch: AP mags.
Hands: Pulse rifle (RDS, Angle grip, Suppressor)
The protein bar and coffee are for those long missions where you get hungry and slow down, or Oxy coz well ya know Oxy. I prefer extended mags over AP personally but AP has its obvious advantages so i try to pack both and recollect at least the AP mags. C4 and tacnoc you should always pack. C4 is great for clearing things in your way or for making sure you deny the benos a capture if you have time and no other weapons. Shotgun as a secondary or for after getting captured. MD is self explanatory. NEVER rely on it to call a building clear but it can and will save you and your men more than you'd think. Satchel is general quick storage i say more pulse mags but honestly its rare ill actually pack them with more than 300 rounds on me anyway. usually save the space for nades or tools, baubles you find or need planetside. Never head out without a bootknife to stick in some dumbass PFC. I mean uhh in case you need to slash your wrists in a nest or something (see C4). The general pouch is pretty much my "quickly need to heal myself or a squaddie" pocket and the mag pouch is for the AP. Dont know why just is. Pulse rifle is the main weapon you want to use. If some PFC moves infront as you fire then you dont end up BEing them accidentally even with AP, but with the attchs i use it allows constant fire rate as long as your mag holds out and you use single fire.
Note: HPR though very lackluster and not the powerhouse like somehow people expect can still be a viable primary for SLs (and B18s IMO) Though 90% of the time its a waste of points so 99% of the time will get denied. It fires the same ammo as the pulse rifle and has no AP BUT IT DOES have a 300 round mag which means you can spend almost the entire mission and not have to reload sometimes, its also great for making hostiles scatter, Either without a suppressor just start shooting and most t1s will Ree out pretty quick and itll certainly make a smart Rav use their charge to retreat from the loud snap, OR my personal favorite is grab a suppressor and let the feeling of heavy rounds(i question this also) hitting them be their warning, suppressor or not FORGET the BC. Angle grip and QFA that baby and spearhead delta into a early grave or beno salt inducing roll. (Results may vary)
