I’ve read it multiple times to familiarize myself with it as well as looking for examples in the forums and spectating other predators to get a feel of what I should or shouldn’t do.

Character background (An ADEQUATE description and story of your predators background):

Geduld was at first like any other starting Yautja, an eager nameless un-blooded wishing to prove himself, aggressive and reckless. He trained alongside the rest of un-blooded of his clan, all wanting to prove themselves with the same resolve as him, though none so far matched his lack of patience and recklessness despite the warnings of his teachers, who nevertheless kept him in the group due to his promising development as a swift fighter and runner.

Further into his training, his recklessness was still not tamed, their group having moved to the mountainous regions of a hot lush planet to test their tracking skills in a mock hunt. Geduld decided that this would be his time to prove himself, to rise above the rest as a swift and skilful hunter, and so he moved before the rest, less planning and thought put into the hunt to find the track and reach the prey earlier than the rest. You can imagine his delight when he found the track before the others, having moved in advance, and followed it while grabbing his spear from his back and running through trees and above rocks on the jungle tops of the mountain range, imagining how the fight with his prey would go, how his weapons would take its life, how his peers will congratulate him for the hunt, how he wou-- - - - - - - --how in his reckless pursuit he jumped too far to follow the track, and the jungle plant wall opened to a nothingness, and a fall below him. His first feeling was surprise, the spear he was holding falling from his hands. The second one as he fell, a sudden fear. But it was apparently not his time yet, and he hit a ledge hard before the fall became fatal, and thus the third and last thing he felt after a sickening crunch was pain. Pain like he never felt before, his whole body shouting at him and his idiocy. He stayed there, holding his mangled body and screaming through the pain and the Bio-Mask, eventually found and recovered.

They could have healed him without problems in a few days, but his instructors had something else in mind. He would have to learn patience. And so, they barely mended him so he wouldn’t die, and leaved him to rest and recover the natural way. Geduld was furious by this, the anger mixing with the pain and the frustration of being unable to continue to train or hunt or even move. Then sadness came, at his failure, at the shame and inability to do anything worth doing. But eventually, with time, he felt oddly empty. He simply rested, wondering when his path went wrong. He thought about all the times he failed due to being careless... About all the times he lost his prey for not being able to wait... About the shameful failures he had due to simply not being capable of holding himself... And so, eventually, his wounds healed, and he learned. Some say the punishment worked too well for his own good, for he is now considered to be too un-acting, waiting too much for the prey to come to him instead of him coming to the pray. But he knew the truth from his accident and his achievements after it. Patience makes the hunter.
How do you intend to play your predator (as in, describe HOW you will act/play your predator)?
I intend to play calmly and stealthily rather than running around between sides, waiting for some period of time and stalking near the places where I know that prey from both sides would walk by, like the road to hydro, a concurred cave or the path to key locations and events around the map, stalking and generally doing the spooky things like clicking, voices or scrapping noises to any marines or xenomorphs that wander past my hiding spot and I deem worthy to be followed or hunted. I’d also would try to rp with the people that manage to find my hiding spot without me moving or making myself known to them, as some sort of surprise for very perceptive players at being able to discover that there is someone watching them. I’d also act unbiased against any side, not really trying to influence the round too much against one single side as that would probably ruin the game for many players if I shifted the balance of power of a game accidentally.

Why should we whitelist you?
I feel like I am still not well known in the community, and sadly haven’t been too active in the forums before, but so far I’ve tried my best to act well abiding by both server rules, marine law and xeno rules, attempting to rp scenes when possible and generally trying to not ruin anyone’s day. I find that the Predator role has alot of potential for unusual and fun scenes, and could make rounds better for anyone involved with them if they manage to outweigh the power they constitute with a fairly enjoyable roleplay and interactions, be it duels, hunts, stalking, surprises or even outright firefights. I’d understand if I was not whitelisted due to me not having been too active or trying to be well-known around here, and I will probably spend the first two or three predator games trying to learn more about them and asking other predators and admins for guidance, since I’m eager to learn how to be a better and more fun player to play with and against.

Are you currently banned from any other servers and if so, why?
Yes, and here’s a shameful story for when I started playing this game. I’m banned from Paradise, because it was one of the first servers I joined, and as such I went curator to not have too much responsibility. There, I was simply really really bored, and in a great display of lack of brain cells and common sense I decided to write some synthetic on synthetic lewd action book to throw at the AI core and run away giggling. But the problem is, I didn’t know how anything worked. And I ended up uploading it to the literal online library for everyone in the server to see instead of making a single book that would disappear at round-end to throw at an AI. And boom permaban for uploading synthetic lewds on the public library. Have mercy I was young and foolish.

Do you understand that any player - donor or otherwise - can have their whitelist status revoked should they break our rules or disobey the Predator Code of Honor?
I understand and accept these terms, even gladly giving up the whitelist if I break the code to learn what I did wrong and try again another time having learned the lesson.

I know them as a player in ss13 pretty well, they are calm and friendly. Where others would get angry and toxic they took things with humor. I never actually seen them break rules on any other server, so i was surprised while reading their app.

I'm fairly sure I've seen you around in-game a fair bit my main issue here is your forum/discord activity most things about the app itself seem fine enough.

I'd like you to get more active either on the forums or discord I saw you were talking a fair bit on discord the day I posted this

I know I have not been too active lately, since I took quite the rest from CM for a few months, but I'm now going back at it and honestly I'm enjoying the direction it took. I'm trying to become more active on the forums and discord, but I might not be as active as many others mostly due to the fact that I tend to play a good deal of other ss13 servers in-between CM games, but thanks for replying to my app.

Your overall application is conventional, but better formatting would have vastly improved it. Still, the quirk described on your part that the predator will have is non-exclusive, and something that is familiar among predators to perform. We look for something that sets you apart from others, which is able to determine your character and make it somehow briefly memorable at the very least. Fanaticism, pride, loyalty, aspects that generate actions that only your predator does.

You have just returned from your hiatus. Play a little bit, be more active in-game and in the forum, and try again later. Trust me, being whitelisted or searching for a whitelist soon after returning from a long period is not something that brings benefits to your app or in case you were accepted, gameplay.

I've been thinking the same for some days now about my app, and in hindsight I see that I should have waited quite longer to apply for this, both to make and polish a better application than the one I made and to get to know the community better since I've been back on it for only month or so. I'll be waiting for more people to respond to get some ideas about how and what to improve before asking for the application to be removed and try again in three months, since I think I could have done better, and I'm really not sure right now that I could make the game more fun by becoming a predator without more experience in it.

Flatly, your story seems to progress from Be Impatient > Go on Hunt > Get Hurt > Be Patient. I do like the twist of them not healing you beyond the bare necessity for survival; but it's not enough to salvage the whole application. I also haven't had the chance to see you in game.

I'd encourage you to do 2 things.

1. Be more active on the forums and in discord. Once your name is recognized that helps!
2. Try out some Command roles Marine side. Even if XO. It does wonders for name recognition IG as well!

Thank you all for all of the advice and replies, I'll try again with a better app next time once I get to be better known on the community. Guess I'll be asking for this app to be closed now, I'm withdrawing it to wait the 3 months and longer if needed.
