Do you understand how the Battlefield Execution functions?
Yes. It is normally to be used only as a last resort when other options are not available, advisable, or have been exhausted. Making a mistake is not a good reason to BE someone. BE's are never to be used on CMP's and should not be used on those in custody of MP's. Those actively threatening the mission (Such as an SO actively going against orders and calling for marines to ignore your orders as well) are deemed fit for BE's. Announcements must be made in a timely manner concerning the BE as well. There are other instances as well, but I would try to use it as rarely as possible. We have military police for a reason.

Do you understand you are not above Marine law, or allowed to enforce it yourself?
Yes. You are not the military police. You don't go around arresting people nor can you order the military police to ignore crimes you have committed. Referring back to the previous question, the Commander cannot be immediately arrested or retaliated against for this action, but players concerned that the CO has been compromised can send a fax to High Command requesting the CO's arrest.

What do you think is the job of a Commander?
As the commander, you are the rock upon which the foundation of the marines lay. Your words are listened to by the marines with more weight than almost any other person. Your presence on the battlefield inspires those around you to almost an almost fanatical zeal. Being noticed by the commander and being commended for a good job elates almost any person.
That being said, I tend to disagree with going to the front line as the Commander, especially early on in deployment. If you have an experienced XO to take care of the groundside operation, that also leaves you with more opportunities to RP. I have found that as an XO without a CO, I don't have much time to walk the departments, talk to survivors, talk to the CL, or just be able to sit and have a chat, while still managing the groundside operation. On the opposite end, if you have a less experienced XO, you have an opportunity to mentor and offer wisdom while still being able to take over the operation if everything goes wrong. The ability to award medals also reinforces positive traits in marines that you want like the ability to follow orders, courageousness, and selflessness.

If a member of your staff is disobeying orders, how would you handle it?
Depending on the situation, if it is a disagreement in tactics, I am open to hearing ideas. Consulting with your staff on their opinion should be a priority, because if you are the only one making decisions, why do you have staff to manage the squads? Beyond that, it would involve taking them into my office and explaining to them that we rely on marines following orders for plans to be executed. I would explain the same situation can be applied to them and insubordinate marines in their assigned squads and the frustration they feel when their squad does not listen to orders, scatters, and dies.

If the situation cannot be remedied after the talk, the MP's can be summoned for insubordination.
If the situation is like the one referenced in the BE topic and would not be remedied by other tactics, the battlefield execution is a permanent solution

Why should you be whitelisted?
I've been around since February, tried to stay active on the forums and have extensive experience in the CIC as well as other shipside roles. Those who have worked with me in the CIC know that I can remain calm in the face of overwhelming odds and have a penchant for sometimes goofy RP situations (like being kidnapped by a medical researcher, being forced to get a haircut and shave, announcing budget cuts after ordering 6 months worth of pineapple pizza MRE's)
I have an understanding of what is required of commanders and what is expected of them. I promise I won't ban shotguns, but I will make pineapple pizza popular again

I know your name, but sadly I haven't been on in awhile to see much of how you play. I would give a +1 here but I don't know much about you or have seen you in the role of XO or Lt when I was more active so for now I'm remaining neutral for now. I'm glad to see you applying for CO... after I made you shave and get a haircut to straighten out your posture, hah. That's a memorable round from when you were my XO. I see you also decided to keep the new nickname.

Regardless though, I do have to say that I have some consideration for you as you showed you were an intelligent and competent XO that round able to completely synchronize with the strategies we talked to be set in motion. Someone anyone could rely on. I've seen you around plenty of times and in my opinion you deserve nothing less than a +1 from me.

Thanks for the +1. As to the dchat thing, it's a bit out of context. There was an ongoing issue the entire round and when the round came to an end, a player was calling everyone who didn't agree with him a retard. It's fine if you want to do that stuff in game and be as foul mouthed as you want to an extent, but doing it in dchat or OOC makes you out to be a disagreeable cunt ooc if you fail to understand why people are upset with you.

(Round in question, 3 surgical trays were stolen from medbay and I had to provide a surgical tray from the brig as CMP just so the doctors shipside could keep up.)
