The USS Almayer, slowly orbiting around the planet of LV-872. The ship awoke, all at once the crew began to hop out of their cryo pods. In a matter of minutes, the entire ship was buzzing with activity.
A day had passed since the operation on LV-872 began. Half of the Almayer's ground side personnel had either been killed or wounded in combat with CLF planet side, the med bay was filled to the brim with patients. The marines, feeling as if all hope was lost of winning this fight sat in agony awaiting their treatment. The Chief Medical Officer, turning away from his clipboard only to notice a Synthetic unit standing behind him smiling.
"Oh! Hello, Zane, has command sent you here to help out?" The CMO quickly said.
Zane, replying in a soothing tone, while giving a smile and slight nod "I'd be happy to help, Doctor."
"Great! We really need the help, you can take OR-3, it's currently open.", the CMO quickly said before running off to his office.
Turning to the patients with a large smile on his face, Zane said in a reassuring tone "Well, lets get you kids fixed up."
Walking down the isle of injured marines, all groaning in pain, speaking among themselves about their injuries, Zane's smile never left his face. Selecting the closest marine to the OR, Zane quickly took them inside and began to prepare for the surgery. Grabbing all the necessary tools, Zane smiled to the marine and began to connect him to the anesthetic tank. "You'll be better in no time, son."
After the surgery began, Zane noticed the marines outside the room still awaiting treatment. Smiling towards them, Zane began to tell a story. "A long while back, this ship underwent an operation on the planet of LV-416. Immediately after landing on the planet, the marines were shelled with mortars, grenades, rockets, you name it. The causality rates skyrocketed. The opposing side was dug in so well, every push was halted in an instant. All hope in this battle seemed to be lost, there were even talks of deserting and going back up to the ship. This lasted for three more hours until a drop ship landed quickly behind the marine lines. The drop ship doors opened to reveal the Commander and his Command Staff all clad in combat gear. Grabbing a set of binoculars, the Commander spoke into his radio and looked off into the distance. Within a minute, a loud noise could be heard coming from above. A couple seconds later, BOOM. The enemy front line completely totaled by an Orbital Bombardment. As soon as that bomb hit, the Commander started barking orders left and right. The marines themselves were so caught up yelling to each other about it they could barely hear the orders."
Looking back up from his surgery, Zane noticed that all the marines outside had been listening to his story, all of them looking directly at him. They had quit talking among themselves and seemed to be a little higher in spirit. Smiling, Zane continued to talk. "Moral of the story, even if a situation looks hopeless and bleak, don't give up. This ship has always pulled through and will continue to do so."
Finishing up his surgery, Zane took the mask off the patient and woke him up. "There you are son, all better now." He said with a reassuring tone.
"Next patient please." Zane said, after the marine left the room.
After preparing the next marine, he took note that the other marines outside were still keeping their focus on him. Giving a quick smile, he started his next story. As the day passed, Zane had continued what he'd been doing. The whole med bay by now had heard at least one of his stories. Eventually, Zane had finished up with the last patient and started to make his way out of the med bay.
After about another day, the USS Almayer's forces had broken through on the planet below, the opposing force giving a full surrender.
Zane walking into RNR, having been called before hand, was greeted by a group of marines who quickly called him over.
"Zane! Tell us one of those stories!" Said one of the marines.
Smiling in return, Zane sat down at one of the tables and began to tell another one of his great stories.

How do you intend to play your Synth (as in, describe HOW you will act/play your Synth and what support roles you’ll mainly focus on, what is your synthetics quirk)? I'd like to play my Synth as a sort of "wise experienced" father type figure. Always telling the marines stories, acting sort of as father figure so of course throwing in "dad jokes" is going to be apart of it. The roles I'll most likely focus on is medical and engineering, seeing as that's what I enjoy to play mostly, although I'm fine with anything.
How familiar are you with support roles? (ie; Medical, MT, Science, SO) I'm familiar with every role, Requisitions being the least I have experience with. I used to main MT for a while so I'm very familiar with engineering, and I played doctor a lot in the past so I'm -ok- with medical. I've played a lot of command recently so I'm familiar in that regard.
Why should we whitelist you? Being a long term player, I've always wanted to try out synth and take on that aspect of the server. Being predator whitelisted, I hope that can vouch for my roleplaying abilities.
Have you been banned from CM in the last month for any reason (we will check, and lies may result in immediate denial)? No.
Are you currently banned from any other servers and if so, why? No.
Do you understand that any player - donor or otherwise - can have their whitelist status revoked should they break our rules or the Synthetic Programming Guideline? Yes.
