Tips and or Opinions If i should try command roles more often?

Post by stein46 » 02 Oct 2018, 08:09

Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening depending where you live

Just another one of my question posts as i do love them now, if people do know me which i hope they do even though i am sporadic with my play times i normally stick with medic marine or when i get it spec. I have tried SO and it sadly did't go to well i felt well.. as if i was been constantly watch and it did't help that the CO instead of asking the situation would just use my console making it hard to track everything in the end i gave up and cryo'd i believe it was at least a few months ago.

Anyways any tips for getting started or opinions if you've played with me if i should stay away would be welcome

Second thing: Play SO a bunch, then try XO when you're ready. Get some time as an XO under your belt and if you feel you're ready, apply for CO whitelist.

As a CO Who will occasionally look at the console: If the LT either isn't communicating well, or they are but I'm just an idiot and cant understand it, I will occasionally go and look at the console just so I can get the idea of the exact situation. The Tac Map Is nice, but it doesn't show hostile contacts, or just how fucked up the marines are. I cant tell the difference between 30 marines in pain crit, or 30 marines who are full health and ready.

Basically, Be proactive with giving information and give good specific information and the frequency that the CO Will look at your console will go down. It still is sometimes necessary though, you just will have to learn how to deal with it.

Some COs and XOs are just very handsy. At the same time though, you have to make sure the updates you provide actually contain the important information -- how wounded your squad is, where the contacts are, etc..
