Do you understand how the Battlefield Execution functions? Yes, the Commander has the authority to Battlefield Execute anyone (other than the CMP) that he deems as a threat to the mission. Each Commander has a different perspective on what could be deemed as a threat to the mission. Personally, I wouldn't BE anyone unless its a -SERIOUS- threat, seeing as a lot of commanders BE without a second thought lately. It's a lot of power placed on the Commander and I don't intend to abuse it.
Do you understand you are not above Marine law, or allowed to enforce it yourself? Yes, the Commander can be arrested for breaking the law just like anyone else, of course with the added steps of contacting high command. Personally, I think the Commander shouldn't be allowed to break marine law to a certain degree so that the commander isn't able to completely fuck over an entire operation given the chance. In a real life setting, the Commander of a ship would act with respect and dignity for their crew and most likely wouldn't be breaking a lot of laws. Of course there are outliers in life and certain CO's have gimmicks that tend to be on the side of breaking marine law.
What do you think is the job of a Commander? I think the job of the Commander is to provide a good roleplay experience for not only the crew of the Almayer but if the need arises for any other faction that comes up in the round. Not only providing a good roleplay experience, I think the Commander should also do their best to create strategies that will help the marines win the round while still focusing on the roleplay environment of course. Personally, I will attempt to try new strategies and try and break away from the current meta. In my eyes, generally the Commander should be someone that is always taking charge of a situation, always providing great roleplay, someone who is able to coordinate the operation at a good pace.
If a member of your staff is disobeying orders, how would you handle it? Well, to start off I would just try speaking with them and attempt to fix whatever problem they have. If they prove that talking cannot fix whatever problem they have, I would order the MPs to arrest them for insubordination and neglect of duty depending on the situation. If they STILL prove to be disobeying orders and not doing their job in the CIC, it would either come to a BE or just sending them back to the brig, depending on the severity of whats happening.
Why should you be whitelisted? I'm a semi-long term player of CM, I'm predator and synth whitelisted which can attest to my ability to roleplay and I think I've got a good grasp on being in command to do a good job in the role. When I play command roles, I try my best to make it more enjoyable for the crew, even if its something as simple as a conversation, giving them that element of command being in tune with them during the operation.
