What is your least favorite part about playing crayon muncher?

For me personally it's having to leave combat or be absolutely useless in combat from taking a few hits, sure they're xenomorphs but let me take some more damage before going down in shrieks of pain, or at least make surgery/recovery much faster so I dont spend half of the round afk on an operating table, and while I'm at it get rid of the foggy vision effect, it's annoying and while doesn't really hinder combat much it is just ugly and obtrusive and imo makes combat less fun

Probably the injuries. I can handle being destroyed by xenomorphs some times, and dumb teammates are par for the course, but I absolutely hate not being able to take care of myself when a medic forgets to splint my chest, or give me tramadol, and I wander around in near-paincrit begging for splints and/or tramadol before I shred my organs to peices and puncture a lung.

You could take some splints for yourself I guess but it takes a long time to apply them if you're unlucky and if people bump you around it's gonna suck. Escpecially if they forgot to give you tramadol too and you collapse on the ground begging for help for five minutes before being abandoned in a boiler cloud.

Internal bleeding is my biggest issue by far, I dont mind fractures, I dont mind delimbs, those happen after a certain amount of damage is taken, but IB is rng and is very very bad when ur health is green but u have IB and u need to go spend the next 30-40mins in medbay.

I only ever use it on people I trust won't fuck up and will only let me manage the OD instead of letting a screaming medic stasis them and try to medevac them underground.

Conversely, SOs hate when people don't have helmets on because if they start screaming for help all you have to go by is "the thing says they're here, lemme refresh it and say- okay, now there here, range and direction" and then you only realize after the SL gets ambushed that there were five benos around that PFC that decided they didn't need a damn helmet when they dropped. Typically if I decide to be snarky as an SO when someone gets attacked/grabbed it's because they decided to both NOT have a helmet on AND go off on their own, then expect me to magically know what's going on with them.

For me, the thing I hate most about playing as a Marine is the unreliability of my squad and medics 50% of the time. Get knocked down outside the FOB or pretty badly injured within line-of-sight of my squad? There's a decent chance that unless it's right outside the FOB they'll either ignore me or just charge ahead to get the beno while the medic may or may not know what they're doing. I remember one round where 5-6 people went permadead because the only medic in a position to save us refused to move on ahead to give treatment without a full squad covering them... when the benos had already been pushed back from the battleground and were being held away for quite some time. They then wandered in, looked around, said "they're all dead" and left like their cowardice didn't doom more than half a squad to death.

Being the first squad to go out and then die because nobody can lay down suppressing fire without gunning down every marine infront of them.

Its not fun to die within the first 10 minutes of dropping and then sit in dead chat for 2 hours.

lol, I am the opposite, For me 60% of the Time I play as if it was a "What If" What If this was real life? Although some may see that as really "Hard core" "No Fun" I take Enjoyment out of it, Of Course Banter and other things keep a bond also between real life Soldiers and just Ordinary people.
That's my perspective, Everyone has their own.

im a xeno main so the one thing i hate the most is RPG, I get rpg'd and I almost always die right after. Now my least favorite part of being a marine is when I am RPG spec because no one ever follows up my rpgs hits. Its like how do I die every time as a xeno but no one dies when I do the exact same thing?

My least favorite thing is when I get hit by a spitter, and then dragged away as the spitter's buddy constantly spits me down until I get crabbed. Like damn bruh, give me a chance to run away.

My second least favorite is how most people don't capitalize M in Marine or calls them soldiers. Like come on guys, Marine is proper noun here.

Joking aside, it is waiting around for 40 minutes to an hour for something to happen, THEN BAM, dragged off without my squad mates helping me.
