It was nearly a day into a long, hard, and bloody operation against a CLF stronghold on LV-357, the terrorist were dug in very well, and had better equipment than this battalion of marines had ever seen in the hands of CLF. The planet consists of the densest jungles around, it also had a colony on the surface, or at least used to. The place was leveled by frequent assaults and explosions. The CLF had been pushed out of the colony, but their base of operation was not actually in the colony. Their base was dug into a dense section of the jungle, using the foliage as a cloke. Luckily the CLF had led a squad of marines back to their base when they retreated. The marines had not assaulted yet, instead they waited, the Commander wanted all the wounded treated so they could be at full strength when the time came to finish them. Pushing the base was going to be bloody, men will die.
The Commander walked through the medical doors, he was greeted by groans of agony and pain, marines were laid on the medical beds, but not just some of the beds, all of them. Medical was full to the brim with wounded, casualties were extremely high. Rolling around, the marines were suffering to an unexplainable degree. The Commander walked through the halls, trying to ignore their wounded groans, it was hard for the Commander, these were his marines, he was responsible, hearing them call for their mothers in agony was difficult for him. Suddenly he turned the hall, nearly colliding with the CMO.
“Oh, sorry Commander! We’ve been extremely busy here, the amount of wounded is very difficult to manage.” The CMO said with noticeable stress.
“I-I see that, how long until we can get these men back on the ground?” questioned the Commander.
“Well, seeming you ordered a cease fire, no more wounded are coming in… another day should do it, sir.” Answered the CMO.
Nodding the Commander said, “Good, where is Marcus, I need his help.”
The CMO pointed to OT4 before quickly running off to treat more wounded, his boots smearing blood on the floor tiles.
The Commander nodded and moved that way. Once he reached the Operation Theater, he opened the door. Inside stood Marcus, the ships synthetic, he was performing surgery.
As the door opened, the synth cocked his head, seeing the Commander he said, “Commander, sir. How can I help you?”
The Commander watched as Marcus pulled some shrapnel from his patients chest before saying, “Marcus, I require your assistance on the surface, the plan must be in place 24 hours from now, we can’t waste anymore time, the CLF are only reinforcing their position. I’m gonna need your help getting the marines in order down there.”
“Understood Commander, I shall patch this marine up and head down.” Replied Marcus in a serious tone.
19 hours had past, the CMO and his doctors worked all night and day, the marines were finally all patched up.
Marcus had made it back to the FOB after running some orders to a squad of marines. Sadly for the marines, somehow the CLF were jamming comms on the surface, the marines could not receive orders, the only reason the marines were able to get in position was due to Marcus's ability to run at a very fast pace without getting tired, he was getting orders from the CO at the FOB and running them to the squads at the front.
The plan was finally into place, Marcus had one squad on each flank of the base, all undetected as they hid in large bushes and plants. The Commander made everyone wait until the darkness of night, they were going to attack in pitch black lighting.
It was finally time, darkness had fell, you couldn’t see your hand in front of your face, Marcus hid in a bush next to a Squad Leader, the CO had given Marcus a flare gun, he ordered him to fire it at a good time, the first flare he would fire signaled CAS to drop napalm on the CLF defenses, the second signaled every single marine surrounding the base to open fire at the base, the third would signal all the marines to turn on their lights and charge.
“It is time, get ready” Marcus stated.
The four marines in hearing distance of Marcus cocked their guns and loaded up, this sent a chain reaction around the entire marine line, you could hear the slight cock of weapons travel down the tree line. Marcus nodded before raising the flare gun into the sky and firing it. The marines finally revealed that they were around, though the CLF were unable to know where exactly, or how many of them there were. But before any sort of reaction could be carried out, a sudden shreak of a dropship zoomed by before a loud BOOM. Suddenly multiple napalm explosives dropped around the CLF base. The marines watched as many CLF troops rolled around, engulfed in flames, screaming in agony.
Suddenly Marcus fired the second flare. Nearly 200 marines stood up at once and fired their weapons down into the CLF fortification. Marcus stood watching intently as countless CLF troops were cut down by the massive barrage of bullets. After about a minute, the firing came to a stop, the marines ran their mags dry.
“Reload!!!” The Squad Leader next to Marcus shouted with intense volume.
Hundreds of ammo mags clucked to the ground before being replaced.
Marcus raised the flare gun up for the last time, squeezing the trigger the last signal wizzed into the night sky. A massive roar boomed from the tree line as hundreds of bright lights flashed on from the marines' armor.
Marines charged from the jungle. Their shouts could be heard from all around “ADVANCCEEE!!” “FORWARD!!” “CHAAARGE!!!” Marcus stood at the tree line and watched as the marines jumped the CLF fortifications and began mowing down the last of the resistance.
Almost instantly, the final terrorist troops dropped to their knees, surrendering…. The battle was won.
How do you intend to play your Synth (as in, describe HOW you will act/play your Synth and what support roles you’ll mainly focus on, what is your synthetics quirk)? I intent my synth to be very serious, his quirk being more of a quiet/serious person, he follows orders, and is not comical, he likes to get things done. Though he understands sarcasm, he will rarely use it. I will mainly focus on Engineering and Medical, as that's what I am most experienced in, though I can do any support role so it doesn't matter, whatever Command wants me to do.
How familiar are you with support roles? (ie; Medical, MT, Science, SO) I am pretty much fully experienced in all support roles, nothing is out of my capabilities. Piloting, Commanding, Engineering, Medical, REQ... you name it, I can do it. I am a Whitelisted Commander if that proves any of my worth.
Why should we whitelist you? First off, I can RP well, It's what I enjoy most about CM. I am a whitelisted Commander as well. I have been with CM for nearly two years, I am fully experienced in almost every role and can get anything done. I love this community and would love to add some RP and fun as a synth.
Have you been banned from CM in the last month for any reason (we will check, and lies may result in immediate denial)? No, I have not. Never been banned for anything major, I believe the worst I've gotten was a job ban for being SSD. The rest have been warnings.
Are you currently banned from any other servers and if so, why? I have been banned from yogstation for quite some time. It was back when I was pretty nooby, I opened a plasma tank I found in medical, I guess someone had a welder lit and it caught fire, and boom, killed multiple people.
Do you understand that any player - donor or otherwise - can have their whitelist status revoked should they break our rules or the Synthetic Programming Guideline? Yes, of course.
