Are you familiar with the Synthetic Programming and Guidelines (http://www.colonial-marines.com/viewtop ... 57&t=14417)? Aye, I have read through the Synthetic Programming and Guidelines on numerous instances so as to acquaint myself with it, and ensure that I can adhere to it as I play my Synthetic, Breckon if this is to be accepted. A Synthetic is able to portray emotions such as happiness, sadness (War...Poverty...) or other such emotions, but never will those emotions get in the way of how a Synth interacts with the world, nor will they ever feel said emotions. Synths can perform any duty asked of them by Command, except those that violate Marine law in any way, as Synths are made with a 100% understanding of Marine Law, or those that are Combat Oriented duties. This also is backed by Synths being physically unable to fire a weapon.

October 9th, 2185. The time was 12:05, and Breckon had only one task in mind; Ensure the Alamo was loaded and ready for today's Operation by 12:25. His Commander, Pierce Jackson had prefaced this task with upmost importance to the Operations success, and thus Breckon made every effort to ensure the Alamo was ready for the inevitable rush of Marines that would come after briefing was given. He continued through the grey halls of the Almayer leading to the Hangar, when eventually he ran across the Requisitions Officer, struggling to push crates packed of ammo and any other supplies the Marines would need. "Care for some assistance, bossman?" Breckon said, before stopping to grab the topmost crates. "Hah, I could use an extra hand." The RO said, before pausing to wipe the sweat from his forehead. "Thank ya kindly Breckon. I'll remember this next time you stop by Requisitions." Breckon pondered for a short moment the reasoning behind the RO wiping his forehead before determining its use as a way of showing hard work being done. He then gave the RO a smirk, taking all the crates he could in one hand with ease, and using his free hand to shoot a finger gun the ROs way, to which he replied at first with a curious glance, but quickly shook it off and laughed at the Synths unusual behavior.
12:10, Breckon had found his way to the Hangar and continued through, taking note of the sounds he heard and the sight of many Crates stacked neatly on top of each other, until finally he was met with the sight of the Alamo's back entrance. There he found the Pilot Officer, Rain Winterson beginning to move the crates onto the Alamo. She had just barely noticed his presence as her focus was on the crates, but as soon as she saw him, her face had lit up. "Ah! Perfect timing Breckon! CO had informed me that you were coming down to assist, though I didn't expect to see you so soon!" Breckon placed the crates he had in hand aboard the Alamo, before turning to the Pilot Officer and attempting his best to mimic the way her face had lit up, though his mimicry was awkward at best. "Yes, Commander Jackson has informed me that loading the Alamo was of upmost importance, so I made haste to ensure no crate is left behind." He then began to assist in carrying the crates onboard, all the while Rain had stood there, giggling at Breckon's attempt at mimicry before responding, "Yes, well he made the right choice in sending you down here to help little ol' me!" She then continued to move the crates onboard. Together, the two worked in silence, until finally all crates had been brought aboard and secured. Rain turned to Breckon, and gave him a quick boop to the noise, before beginning to walk to the Cockpit of the ship. "Thank you Breckon, the extra hands were well appreciated!" Breckon stood there, and nodded to the Pilot Officer, pondering the reasoning behind the boop before determining its use as a way of saying thank you. "You are most welcome, bosswoman. If you need anything else, I would be more then happy to assist." "I'm all good Breckon. Your help packing the crates onto here was more then enough. I'd suggest you tell CO that you've finished your mission of upmost importance though." To which Breckon responded with a bow, and bid her farewell. Once Breckon had stepped off the Alamo, he began to speak into his Command headset, alerting the Commander that he had finished loading the Alamo up. "Very well done Breckon. Now, with that out of the way, I would like you to get kitted up and ready to head planet side. Bravo is FOB duty, however their second Engineer still hasn't woken up from Cryosleep. Help them in building the FOB, and patch up our Marines as they find themselves wounded down there, copy? Setup a triage center within the walls of the FOB once it's completed so you fix those that pills can't." Breckon nodded to himself, taking a mental note of everything asked of him. "It will be done, Commander Jackson. You can trust me to aid the Bravo Engineer in construction, as well as those that need repairs." And with that, Breckon made his way, first to the Medbay to fill his satchel with many different colored bottles, each containing pills to heal any injured marines, as well grabbing Trauma kits, Burn kits, and a Health analyzer. He then moved to R&R to stock up on Packaged foods, and finally to Engineering, where he grabbed a toolbelt to wear, and a stack each of metal and Plasteel, which he carried with him back to the Alamo once he felt he had prepared himself for what was to come below.
12:30, and the Alamo had finally touched ground. The second the doors had opened, Marines in Red and yellow armor began to pile out, the two squads given vastly different orders that they were both determined to see through. Breckon went to the back of the ship, opening the rear hatch and grabbed the stack of Metal and Plasteel he had brought with him. he placed them both under one arm, and grabbed one of the crates, taking it with him off of the ship and placing them on the ground. He went back to grab the rest, when he was met with the face of Bravos only Engineer, Christine Kennel. "Need any help, Robot?" She said, laughing to herself. Breckon responded by walking over to her, and booping her on the nose before grabbing more of the crates. "Assistance in offloading these crates would be well appreciated, Corporal Kennel. Thank you." Kennel stood there, shocked at first by the Synths behavior. "Right...let's get these crates moved then." She regained her composure, and began at once to move the remaining crates off of the ship. After some time, they had finished unpacking the Alamo's contents, and Breckon gave Winterson the go-ahead to lift off and depart back to the Almayer. Once the Alamo had left, Kennel and Breckon had stood there for a second, Kennel wiping the sweat from her forehead and Breckon doing the same, though there was no sweat to be found. Breckon had found the movement of wiping his forehead quite odd, but disregarded the thought quickly. All the while, Kennel had found herself even more confused by the Synths actions, but shrugged it off as one of the Companies new attempts at "Humanizing" the Synths. "Well Robot, let's get to it! FOBs don't just build themselves, you know." Breckon had found himself as if by instinct, standing tall, with his hands on his hips. "As you wish, Corporal Kennel. Let us show Commander Jackson that we know how to build FOBs."
13:00, and the outer walls of the FOB had been constructed and most of the crates had been unpacked. Within, lied the standard MREs and cases of Ammunition, as well as 2 M56D Sentries, of which Kennel had seemed very appreciative of. Once they had been setup, Breckon had grabbed the final crates; Surgical supplies as well as the materials to build a triage center of the sorts. He got to work quickly, making the Triage and ensuring it was close enough to the FOBs outer walls it wouldn't be a hassle to drag Marines back to it for surgery, but far enough that it wasn't in any immediate danger if the outer walls were under assault. It was shortly after the Triage's construction, that an Alpha Marine dragging his fellow soldier on a roller bed came stumbling into the FOB. It was evident that something was amiss, as the Marine being carried, had blood coating a hole in his chest armor, as well as coming out from the corner of his mouth. " Sniper fire, bullet went right through his chest! Medic got him on drugs to keep him stable, but his right lung collapsed...Breckon, you gotta do something man, fast!" Breckon gave him a nod and tried to calm the Marine by placing his hand on his shoulder, using his other to take the stretcher from him. He rushed the Wounded Soldier into the triage center, quickly taking his armor off and grabbing for the medical supplies. Within lied all the tools needed, as well as painkillers that he would need to keep the Marine from feeling anything during the surgery. "Relax, keep your chin up and think pleasant thoughts, Marine. You'll be fixed up and back in the action in no time." The Soldier gave a weak smile to Breckon as well as a thumbs up, before resting his head back, unable to move much more then that. Breckon responded with a caring smile, before getting to work. He first injected the Marine with painkillers, ensuring he wouldn't feel a thing during the surgery, then reached for the IMS, all the while talking to the Soldier calmly, asking him what had happened up until he was shot to both keep him awake, as well as keep his mind off of what was going on to his chest at the moment...
Breckon had finished the surgery on the Marine and checked him over with the health analyzer once more, realizing the only thing left to do was raise the Marines blood levels to normal. He reached into his satchel, pulling out 2 Cheeseburgers and gave the Marine some time to eat and regain his strength. Breckon, acknowledging the work he had done, wiped his forehead, to which the Marine had found peculiar, but laughed at regardless. With his work done, and the Marine all patched up, Breckon gave him a pat on the back and the ok to get re-equipped and head back on out to the front. It was then that he pondered for a moment what else would come his way, but before the thought could develop any further, he heard Kennels voice, calling his name. He stood up, and begin to walk her way, chin up, and ready for whatever else the OP would bring him.
I intend to play my Synthetic by having him use body language to portray different emotions. I say portray, for as we all know Synths are unable to feel emotions, and as such the body language used in any given situation would differ in accuracy to what emotion Breckon is trying to portray at the time. Breckon comes with set forms of body-language(Macros) programmed into him for use in more common scenarios, but as the round goes and he is able to observe the Marines around him, he'll begin to pick up on different gestures and mimic them when he sees it fit to do so. He may understand the basis of why a gesture is made, but not fully understand it, and so more likely then not depending on the context, he may mimic an emotion and it'll come off as awkward, creepy, or out of place. My primary focuses would be in Medical/Engineering as they are what I am most comfortable with, but either way, I am confident I can fill in wherever is needed of me in a given round, and my Synth wouldn't second guess any orders given to him by Command staff, so long as it doesn't require me to break Marine Law or harm someone.
How familiar are you with support roles? (ie; Medical, MT, Science, SO) ► Show Spoiler
Command - I'd like to say my best role is Command. While as Synth it is not your job to Command, some scenarios call for you to provide Overwatch for a squad, and other such acts of Leadership. The hope is that I don't have to fill in and provide Command too often, as I feel Synths can be utilized far better elsewhere, however if need be, I am more then able to do so. I have the CO whitelist if that holds any merit.
Medical - Whenever I play as Marine, if i'm not in Command, or running spec, my next go to is Medical. As doctor, I know almost every surgery by memory and how to most efficiently go about performing them so the Marines I put under are able to get out and back to fighting as quick as possible. I know each Medicines OD limits, and if I ever somehow forget, the Wiki is there to set me straight. I know which medicines do what, and which ones not to mix unless you're looking for a bad time.
Chemistry - This would be the subject I struggle in the most. I can make the more simpler of chemicals, though I struggle to make the more complex chemicals without the aid of the wiki. While this app is up though, i'll be spending time grinding researcher/Doctor to make sure if I am ever tasked with Chemistry, I can quickly prepare the chemicals needed with little to no help from the wiki.
Engineering - When I first joined CM, Squad Engineer was my most played role by far. I can build a mean FOB, fix APCs, even if they're completely broken down, and I can perform all shipside engineering tasks (Setting up Power/SMES) with ease. I can setup turrets, build/man the Mortar, Repair the tank (Though now I needn't worry about doing so) and equip the Dropships. The only issue I can foresee is making some of the more interesting of structures, but if I am ever tasked with this, the wiki is a step away, and it would be easy to figure out what i'm doing in no time.
CMP/MP - I have played quite a bit of CMP/MP and understand how to arrest someone, the charges you can dish out/the equivalent times to said punishments, and I feel I feel I have a good understanding of Marine Law itself. While as a Synth it is not my job to enforce the law, as a Synth you must obey Marine Law 100% of the time. You are to adhere to the laws and therefore must understand how it works.
REQ - I find Req quite enjoyable at times. I can run the line and control the prebriefing rush with ease, getting the Marines ready for combat as needed. I can micromanage Req's points, and ensure they're being used for good, and not for greedy specs who demand more ammo then they can carry. With that, I can also coordinate with squads to make sure they're never low on supplies throughout the OP.
Piloting - I used to play PO quite a bit back in the times. I can press launch/flyby, tell command I'm departing, coordinate with squads to perform CAS runs, and equip the Dropships as needed. This is one I feel I probably won't be in too often as Synth, however I would be more then fine in this role, and wouldn't mind it either.
I am a Moderator, with the Commander/Predator Whitelists. You can trust me to respect the role, and take it seriously while I play it. Each of these three roles take a level of seriousness/respect to execute properly and thus I feel I meet this requirement of those wishing to be Whitelisted for Synthetic. To add further to that, the roles of Predator and Commander are roles which require HRP, and I know for a fact that I can deliver, as roleplay is what I find to be most enjoyable during these roles, or any other that I play, and never have I purposefully went out of my way to impede on the roleplay of others, nor create an environment where RP is frowned upon. I feel then because of this that I can provide some nice RP for those that I encounter, and overall make their rounds more enjoyable, not lessen their enjoyment.
Have you been banned from CM in the last month for any reason (we will check, and lies may result in immediate denial)? My notes are clean, and I have never been banned, nor do I plan on it.
Are you currently banned from any other servers and if so, why? I don't play any other servers enough to get banned, so to the best of my knowledge I have never been banned by any other ss13 servers.
Do you understand that any player - donor or otherwise - can have their whitelist status revoked should they break our rules or the Synthetic Programming Guideline? Aye, and I believe this to be the proper course of action if I am ever to break the rules or Synthetic Programming/Guidelines intentionally. We're all human though, and if I mess up unintentionally, I am more then fine with whatever punishment is befitting of me. Just because I am a Moderator, with the Pred/CO whitelists, does not mean I am above the Rules of this server in any way.
