How do you intend to play your Synth (as in, describe HOW you will act/play your Synth and what support roles you’ll mainly focus on, what is your synthetics quirk)?
-As the story described it, I intent to play a synthetic, that has been damaged on previous ventures aboard the USS Almayer, which mainly involves a certain degree of introverted attitude, a robotic resemblance of "PTSD", and most notably, banged up language protocols.
I will mainly intend to do roles, which require less human contact, for example, as an engineer, fixing reactors, or other engineer duties, picking up trash. Though, I will of course attend to other duties as well. Henrik wont speak in foreign words as often, just to keep all parties in the same page, and will repeat words in English and in language X (For example: Yes, kyllä kiitos).
I'll refrain from translating critical words into foreign languages, just so thing wont get mixed up too hard.

How familiar are you with support roles? (ie; Medical, MT, Science, SO)
- I am very familiar in all support roles- I know all the medicine, their OD thresholds, effects by heart, and chemistry very well as well. MT and engineering jobs in general, changing DS loadouts, fixing stuff, construction, etc.
I have also been playing a fair bit of SO lately, and other leadership roles, so nothing new there.

Why should we whitelist you?
-I believe I could bring an interesting, exotic dynamic to interactions between characters. Of course, overcoming my characters IC introvertidness, when possible.

Have you been banned from CM in the last month for any reason (we will check, and lies may result in immediate denial)?
-No, I have not.

Are you currently banned from any other servers and if so, why?
-Nope.

Do you understand that any player - donor or otherwise - can have their whitelist status revoked should they break our rules or the Synthetic Programming Guideline?
-Absolutely. Being whitelisted is a privilege, not a right.

It's possible. That was one of my initial fears, but as stated, I wont translate mission critical info, only chitchat, small phrases, etc.
My aim for Henrik is not to be hard to understand, and hard to RP with- I'll manage to find the perfect balance.
And if everything else fails during communication, I will still have my quirk of having "robot-PTSD-esq." traits for my character. But for now, I don't see major problems with my language quirk. Feedback, and suggestions are always welcome, nevertheless.

If RPed correctly, this could be really good. On the other hand, it could be played out really poorly and make us regret putting you on the whitelist.

However, every single one of my interactions with your character have been entirely positive. I believe you can pull it off. Story and formatting is all good, my concern was just with the quirk itself in game.

I’ll remain neutral for now as these types of language quirks make me a bit uncomfortable to reliably +1. I want to hear other questions some of the council might give you and your responses to said questions.
I do have one question however why would a synth show signs of PTSD from being damaged before and why would the USS almayer keep a synth that occasionally glitches out and speaks a whole different language or misspell some words? I’ve seen things similar that got denied because of the quirk that’s somewhat like this unique but a bit risky.

I would interpret USCMs stance on the situation, is summed up in my story: he does his job, and he does it well. He is still a synthetic who adheres to Marine Law and to his synthetic programming.
And in this story, the Commander has grown to like the synth, and overlooks his quirks (of course, in game I would have to build the trust and my character, so that marines would grow a similar kind of an 'attachment'.)

TL;DR: Henrik's quirk hasn't stopped him from doing good work.

I had concerns that my quirk would be hard to pull off, but in hindsight, I didn't think about it hard enough:
-Small misspells only reinforce my story about a broken soundchip or whatnot
-It can be refreshing to see some "discrepancies" coming from synths mouth
-as stated above, my quirk wont be in the way of critical information

And some other minor positives that I can't remember of the top of my head.

Anyhow, I firmly believe that my character would work without major hickups.

I am of the opinion that foreign language quirks will not work with the synthetic play style, lore, and guidelines.
I like you, but like the other two applications that I've -1 that had similar traits, I have to be fair and consistent.

You're a pretty competent player, and the story's good. The quirk is unique, but it is on the fence--though it can be done. Like Soldier said, I dunno if a foreign language trait will work out too well on a Synthetic.

I have a big problem with the quirk. Being a damaged synth, and showing signs of "PTSD" seems off to me. It shouldn't be possible for a synth to be able to experience the aspects of PTSD because they cannot feel stress, and emulating stress is more of a liability in most cases instead of an asset to fit in with the crew. I can't support this application because of the quirk. -1
