► Show Spoiler
(Thanks to GoliathTheDespoiler for lending his character)
-It has been 146 days, 7 hours, 12 minutes and 35 seconds since the incident. But Henrik still doesn't understand what incorrect do they see in this synthetic unit.
All they do is look at him, with a pitying, sometimes despising glances. But Henrik does not mind. Ever since his designation number, #3405251, had been hardwired into his CPU, he had always had a fixation for his work.
Henrik doesn't mind that he is of lacking features, nor does he mind being ridiculed. He does not mind. He is perfect in his own mind.
"Henrik." -He hears a familiar, caring, but stern, Aussie voice coming from behind the S-52 Fusion Reactor.
"Commander Clancy, what a nice surprise, ystävä."
Joseph Clancy gives a small chuckle. He never gets tired of the Androids flaws.
"What is so lustig, Commander..? Is there something wrong with the Reaktor? Or my face, is it my skin again..? Not неплохой, not good at all.."
"Everything is fine, Henrik. Carry on with the repairs. We took a few too many missiles to the stern, we were lucky that help was nearby. I'm not sure about the Company's motives, but they sure save our sorry assess time to time.
"Yes. Kyllä indeed." Henrik replies swiftly, his minds eye still fixated on the burnt out wire, yet to present itself.
Clancy breathes in deep: "So.. About the-" Clancy gets swiftly cut short.
"No. Please ei. I'm operational, I am perfectly stable. See? I am repairing the Reactor. It will be all gut." -Henrik sternly remarks, his eyes still scouring the engine for remaining faults.
Clancy glances at Henrik, his face fashioning a small smirk.
"All right, tin-can. I appreciate your opinion on the matter-" Clancy let's out a forced laughter: "But we need to have your vocal processor checked out, and your logic chip poked at. This ain't personal. I, for one, in addition to the enlisted personel, find that you are great just the-"
"What ovat the mean glances, then? The Lieutenants, they would rather have me cleaning up skräp, rather than be in their presence." Henrik retorts. He has a peculiar.. Human, emotion seeping from him. Clancy is lost for words for a moment.
"Henrik.. The CLF did a number on you. It was a tough call, but we didn't want to leave you behind. Yet you still insist, that you are fine, even though you can perfectly understand that you are MALFUNCTIONING.
When you are not uttering strange, foreign words, your throat sounds like Jones has pissed on a speaker, which in turn made the entire Delta squad scream in agony! Almayer almost got into a mighty fine battle against that scrappy CLF fleet, just for you!
It has almost been a year already!"
"...146 days, 7 hours, 14 minutes and 12 seconds..."Henrik softly mutters, and then looks up at the man standing behind him:
"Commander, if you wouldn't mind, I would like to palata to my work. I will do stellar work, as always." Henrik is showing signs.. PTSD.. Yes, the CLF..
Clancy looks down at the cold, grill floor. His eyes, glassed, like marbles.
"Alright, Henrik.. I trust you."
Joseph takes one, final look, at Henriks small, burnt patches of hair, that still peek under his new scalp. Josephs mouth turns into a feint smile. This synth reminds him of himself, in many ways.
"I will leave you at it."
"Yes, kiitos, Commander." Henrik stops and closes his eyes.
How do you intend to play your Synth (as in, describe HOW you will act/play your Synth and what support roles you’ll mainly focus on, what is your synthetics quirk)?
-As the story described it, I intent to play a synthetic, that has been damaged on previous ventures aboard the USS Almayer, which mainly involves a certain degree of introverted attitude, a robotic resemblance of "PTSD", and most notably, banged up language protocols.
I will mainly intend to do roles, which require less human contact, for example, as an engineer, fixing reactors, or other engineer duties, picking up trash. Though, I will of course attend to other duties as well. Henrik wont speak in foreign words as often, just to keep all parties in the same page, and will repeat words in English and in language X (For example: Yes, kyllä kiitos).
I'll refrain from translating critical words into foreign languages, just so thing wont get mixed up too hard.
How familiar are you with support roles? (ie; Medical, MT, Science, SO)
- I am very familiar in all support roles- I know all the medicine, their OD thresholds, effects by heart, and chemistry very well as well. MT and engineering jobs in general, changing DS loadouts, fixing stuff, construction, etc.
I have also been playing a fair bit of SO lately, and other leadership roles, so nothing new there.
Why should we whitelist you?
-I believe I could bring an interesting, exotic dynamic to interactions between characters. Of course, overcoming my characters IC introvertidness, when possible.
Have you been banned from CM in the last month for any reason (we will check, and lies may result in immediate denial)?
-No, I have not.
Are you currently banned from any other servers and if so, why?
-Nope.
Do you understand that any player - donor or otherwise - can have their whitelist status revoked should they break our rules or the Synthetic Programming Guideline?
-Absolutely. Being whitelisted is a privilege, not a right.
