Your Byond Key: Dragon Warrior2662
Your Character Name: Tuck 'Stumpy' Buckford
Their Byond key: All Staff Present Today at approximately 11:30 EST.
Approximate time and date of the incident (Central Us Time for best results): 11:30-12:00 EST (10:30-11:00 CST) November 9, 2018
Which Staff Protocols (http://www.cm-ss13.com/viewtopic.php?f=57&t=5647) were broken: Protocol 2, Investigate the situation.
Description of the incident: The basic situation is that I suspected somebody of metagaming, and asked the staff to investigate. I was instead brushed off, and provided reasons why the staff felt they did not need to investigate. The state of decay in staff enforcing the rules to ANY degree is something that has been bothering me for quite some time, and this is not the first time that my adminhelps reporting metagaming have been brushed aside, although typically I am given responses like, "What are we going to do, ban all of the marines?" Maybe I am just a small representation of the community that is getting sick and tired of every round being a contest of who can meta harder, but I have gotten to the point where I am going to fill out complaints in hopes that somebody does something about it.
Evidence (screenshots, logs, etc):
How you would punish the accused: I have no idea, you can't just demote the entire staff, but something needs to be done to make them take rulebreaking more seriously. If only SOME rules are going to be enforced, then change the rules.

Re: Staff Report: Multiple Staff
Ill post some logs, but I went through the logs and just for the record, logs will not show us who welded vents at least nothing I am able to see as a senior moderator.
The round started approximately around 9:22 AM CST for the record
There are no references to vents being welded at any time, and any conversations about vents were between xenos in hivemind.
The only talk about weld I can see is made by the reporter in dchat
[10:26:25]SAY: Ghost/Dragon warrior2662 : Why exactly are the vents in LZ1 welded?
Ahelp sent
Another admin who was playing a xeno said the moderator decision was fine
[10:51:16]ADMIN: MOD: Skysoldier/(Elder Warrior (144)) : tell him I said you're fine and this is the end of it
Just for clarification if there were any survivors, survivors are permitted to weld vents/break pipes at any time per the rule clarification thread started by Emerald Blood. At the moment, I have spent an hour investigating your claims and log diving and I unfortunately cannot find any references in say or the logs showing who welded this vents.
We can only investigate with the information we have and the tools we have. Unfortunately after the fact, there is nothing the logs that can prove nor disprove the vents were welded before first contact with xenos, or if it was even a survivor. Just to let you know, in my experience when other marines see another marine weld vents before first contact they're usually quick to point it out IC and ahelp it.
A moderator and admin made a judgement call, sorry you're not happy with the decision, but I do not believe there was any wrong doing on their part or malicious intent.
If someone wants to come forward and say they did it, that would be appreciated so it may be investigated further.

Re: Staff Report: Multiple Staff
I'm just going to go ahead and end this right now.
I really don't see why you're salty if the round was one hour in and the vents are welded, it's perfectly reasonable to assume that someone somewhere saw a xenomorph and decided to weld the vents however at this point in time, it also became irrelevant regardless seeing as how logs are not created for this and witnesses being long-gone at this point.
I'm not going to go out and punish a moderator for not investigating a situation which didn't/couldn't require investigation in the first place.
Resolved - No action will be taken.
