I took a break from byond games a while ago, before all these new xeno evolutions, new sprites. queen ovipositor and apparently theres even a tank now? Some more easily digestible information than a fuckmassive changelog list would be incredibly appreciated, especially considering the hive is full of threads talking about how weak xeno's are which i honestly cant wrap my hand around, the devs specified they wanted xenos to win majority(up to 75%!) of the time to facilitate the experience they wanted for the marines.

There is a lot of stuff that changed, man.


You've got new Xenos. You are lucky you missed the god damn OG Warrior Xeno. It was the most broken thing to ever touch CM

You've got the Tank. It was too strong, so the Tankers are deactivated until the devs can completely rebalance it after the next Xeno rework.

Yeah, Queen has had an Ovipositor for a while.

New attachments. You also can one hand most weapons now, for some serious accuracy debuffs.

Point Blanking works again. I have a feeling you left while it was still broken.

There is more shit that I clearly missed, but I'll let other people explain it.

If you play marine just take shotgun with buckshot loaded. If you are xeno avoid burrower unless you are going to carrier which is t3. Crusher isn't tanky at all, spitter sucks just stay sentinel, tackle is useless so don't play like back in the day. Marines can burst multiple larva (up to 7) now so its important to capture. Xenos evolve faster for the first 30 minutes. Deploy time was changed to 1215 so marines like to rush now which ends games in 10-20 minutes on low pop a lot. LV has holes in the fog now so both sides can fight right at the start. Explosives are super nuts now, RPG (sadar) especially will instakill you or stun you for 6 years. Claymores are nuts again. Shrapnel grenades completely shred marines so watch out for those if you are marine. also the winrate now is supposed to be 50/50% idk what it actually is.

Explosions are significantly different now. They're super super deadly now, and shrapnel damage is something to be feared, especially by the Marines.

Thats shocking considering explosives were effectively death to xenos anyways. How doess it affect crushers and ravagers?

As far as I know crushers are immune to hepas but hefas will shred them damage wise. Ravager gets stunned but its shortened. RPG will stun everything. A direct hit on a queen or crusher will stun you for like 20 seconds. It will gib other t3 instantly if its using AP rockets.

-If you see a HEFA about to go off find the nearest cover or rest
-OB's are now used like the mortar, also we have different OB's now, HE, Cluster and Napalm. only HE and Cluster work most of the time
-We have new CO's that are really changing up things so watch out for that
The one idiot that uses 9mm's converted to smg's for fun.
