Hello,
If you're reading this your either curious or extremely retarded, but fear not I shall explain you how works medflasks.
If you're having troubles reading this and feel this is already too complicated, just open the damn spoiler.
- A medflask is a term for regular flask, filled with medical chemicals. As much as hypercigs were cigarettes with hyperzine. It's just a pun.
It contains a total of 60u, and each sips (when you click on yourself or on someone) delivers 5u of the total mix. If you have 6 chemicals of 10u each, one sip will deliver 0.83u of EACH chemical.
How a medflask works?
- Two options, you click on yourself and drink directly from the flask, it drinks 5u as explained above, those takes 5 to 10 seconds to get in your blood AND THUS take effect.
- You click on someone else to apply the flask on someone.
How to create a medflask?
- Check the spoiler above.
Why would you use medflask?
- Because there is an OD threshold per chemical in your blood, not per TOTAL amount of chemical in your blood. Which means you as a smart chemist can put chemicals that are out of hands from regular marines OR medics at maximum quantity and they will NOT be able to OD regardless of the amount of sips they take, unless they drink more than a full medflask of the same type, then in that case I suppose Darwin is guilty.
- Because the same effects delivered by DIFFERENT chemicals will add to itself.
Example:
Let's imagine paracetamol gives 1 painkiller unit, tramadol 3, oxycodone 5.
1u of alcohol lasts 30 seconds, 1u of tramadol 10 seconds, 1u of oxycodone 6 seconds.
If you mix 1u of alcohol with 3u of tramadol and 5u of oxycodone, then for 30 seconds, your mix will provide a TOTAL of 9 painkilling effect, which is almost the highest possible mix in whole SS13
Basically, medflasks allows you to put OD-safe efficient chemicals of a rather high amount, easily dosable, to anyone.
And it's fucking easy to make, check the spoiler above.
