Picked this up for $10.00 this weekend.

It got bad reviews but the game turned itself around. It reminds me of a mix of DAOC/mount and blade/for honor

The learning curve isn’t hard, and the community used to be anti newbie to being more friendly as the game has had more features added and it’s still only late alpha/early beta so the developers seem to be adding more and more content

I've played this. I didn't like it. In theory you've got a MMO with a sword fighting system. In action it just dealt really funky, and even playing with friends we lost interest. I could see if someone enjoys working with some of their non combat mechanics.

I played it A LONG time ago, and the combat does not seem to have gotten better. Very laggy and is a bit wacky all around.

Combat DID get better from far since now parrying gives you timing to react. Players are collidable. Shield bashes, kicks and ither mechanics are now useful to stun and get a free hit. You can feint just like on M&B. Now the problem is as it is a RPG. Top level people with high ass armor will soak your damage and just trade each hits. Shrugging off your hits. (700pv average, you will hit for 50-100. They will hit for 150-250). Yes you still can win be it's harshly hateful.

Still. The game gets laggy in huge events.
But gets fun to play when you habe decent equipment, or just PvE bosses.
Craft is ENORMOUSLY grindy but highly rewarding.

I can't recommend the game, but I appreciated it 100h or +.

I made level 50 in two days of arenas and grinding quests/NPCs for some cash without going balls to the wall grinding
Bought some mid level gear

I do fine in arenas and zergs on the battlefield.

Yeah players at high level take less damage, but if you're good at the twitch mount and blade blocking/attacking you can still be useful on the battlefield.

Got around 2500h on M&B. I know pal...
All I am saying is it's a shame rich heavy guys get to soak all the damage even if you use blunt.
