Idea, but would anyone want it? (Medals)

So I have any idea, and no this isn't really server side (sort of...). this is more of a role play or achievement for all you RPG Fans. I am thinking of whipping up a Colonial Marine's SS13 medal signature.

The way this would work. Background would include a case full of all the medals you achieved and the highest rank you were from the last medal you achieved and will have a ballet for the reason for the medal and which commander awarded it. Any white listed commanders can also have Captain ranks on the side and a beret for decoration thus announcing their abilities to command in combat. I can also include a name tag and anything else you all may feel may be relevant such as a USCM corps patch logo.

This will obviously take me sometime to do and with a full time job I feel like this will take me days. If you are interested please feel free to reply. If enough people say yes I will do it.

Wouldn't the newbies feel left out on the forums because they don't have all the medals and so people wont listen to them because they know they are newbies?

What about just ripping the medal logs onto a forum post to have a record of them. We already have something like this, but a mechanical way of doing it would be much easier. Some people get medals, but log off before they get to see them.

Medals never even get handed out ICly. So having like a record of them somewhere feels like you're taking a step too far.

Yeah but we already treat newbies like ass anyway. The join date is usually what people go by irrigardless of how long you lurked.

Completely agree here. Medals are pretty biased too, usually the CO will hand them out to people they know. And alot of the times medals are handed out for something they didn't actually do.
