More attachment! Just two types.
Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary):
Get attachment for L6(btw, it fire REAL slow) and the M4a1 (another attachment).
Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole):
The Colonial Marines server(s) will beneift by ~having more addition to delivery method of the say explosive~,
and for fvk sake, we don't like carrying the grenade launcher nor the flamethrower around.
Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc):
Enabling Marines with specific guns that HAVE the attachement to use be more convenient,
then again, you could only make it available to the Engineer, SL, even Medic, or give some to the MP, who
attach to their shotgun for (for delivering flashbang).
Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it):
*[/glow]Grenade Launcher attachment : Drop lovely attachment, one each in every SLead, SEngineer, SMedic and possibly (2)two for MP.
- OR just code the current grenade launcher to say attach to the rilfe, *careful about the replication bug.
*[/glow]Flamethrower attachment: ONLY attached to the L6(change gun type if prefered).
Wonder if there is an attachment for Mechs ^.^!
P.S.Talk to in-game mod at the time, they aggreed with this (it's a no brainer), but then again we're not following 100% Alien lore.

I'm generally against giving everyone grenade launchers, even if they were made into an attachment, Standard needs SOMETHING special about them. Without even the grenade launcher exclusive to them, they would be just medics without medicine, engineers without tools.
I'm unsure if we should have any attachments, but I think better ideas would be attachable syringe guns for medics, shock module draining power from the station's grid for engineers?

More custom gun mods would be interesting. I would think maybe the implementation of "slots" for weapons would work easily -- barrel attachment, underbarrel attachment, Pictinny rail, and magazine:
Barrel attachment: Silencer/Suppressor (quiets sound of gunshots), Barrel Extension (extends accuracy at range), Barrel Shortening (extra damage, but much less accurate), bayonet
Underbarrel attachment: Underslung grenade launcher, underslung shotgun (ie. keyhole shotgun), attachable flamethrower, heavy duty flashlight (all with much less effect than their normal variants), tactical bipod, underslung armor plate (a U-shaped piece of metal)
Rail attachment: Laser scope, night sights, rail-mounted flashlight, rail-mounted armor plate (an upside-down U shaped piece of metal)
Magazine attachment: Double magazine (puts spare magazine in your hand when you run out), extended magazine (increases magazine size), autoloader (increases firing speed at the cost of less ammunition), LED ammo display (alerts you of # of rounds remaining as you fire it)
Pretty easy to do most of these. And that's not even including fancy future-modern stuff like targeting optics, friendly fire suppression, mounted cameras, etc

Well, I'm basically the first person to suggest weapon modifications on every game's forum I've played so far, but... this is SS13. Unless a coder can confirm it wouldn't make the interface even more akward and won't cost us even more much needed seconds during combat... (Reloading - move cursor to your equipment bar, right click, select "eject mag", move cursor to the middle, select your character, confirm... it takes longer than actual IRL reloading unless you master keyboard shortcuts and macros)
We could go a step further and add GunsmithMats/customisation tables, to allow full customisation and removal of mods. Kinda like... Mech/borg assembling. Weapons from vending machines would come with the most "middle" parts, but no one would stop you from from making your M4A1 into a DMR that no longer fits in the backpack and has only 15 rounds, but fires rounds that do more damage and cause a very brief stun from the force of impact...
Same with snub-nosing the .44 to make it fit where M4A3 can, or making it into a rifle by adding a stock...

I do want to allow more weapon modifications in the future, but it's not currently a priority.

Yeah we heard you, put on hold for the weapon customization, but the game is still unbalanced.
One of the step would be is to Implement ONE or TWO features to limit the Alien or Marines as a starter, seriously, it's get really bad when "just becasue the staff isn't here, I'll be a full blown r3t@rds, YEAH!".

Pros
-less recoil
-can be attached to your suit storage and backpack
-one handed
Cons:
-half the ammo
-maybe less damage.
That or im bringing something totally not related to another thread

I'm afraid that this is not how pump-action shotguns work at all. At all. But considering the fact you can fire the L6 one-handed, such a device would still make sense... Also, combat shotguns are already as "sawn-off" as they can - every bit of the tube under the barrels is absolutely neccesary for the action to work, you can't just cut it, maybe order a shorter version.
But yeah, that would be nice, for example screwing off the stuck from a shotgun, sawing a bit of the barrel off and slapping that under your M4A1? (Shh. I know the M4A1 wouldn't be able to support underslung attachments.)
Now I want combi-guns, able to be fired only while immobile for a few seconds if they reach absurd sizes, like four L6s stacked...

Nope, there are plans for an attachment system in the Alpha eventually, but its a ways away.
