Make Weeds More Weedy And Creepy

Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary): So after thinking to myself as i sometimes do.. i thought " huh you know what would be cool is if weeds went up walls and felt a bit like this Image " So now i'm here writing this.Honestly i have no idea how to pull this off on a 2D spessman game but it sure would be nice to have something like that, because as you can see there isn't much left of the what once was a station besides the odd object here and there, which is nice and shows how the aliens have taken it over where as currently with this http://i.imgur.com/Xr0S6a2.png i don't get the same vibe of " Oh shit i really don't wanna enter there"( No Offence of course)

Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole): Rp and it would look better

Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc):Just re-sprite the weeds to be more like this http://i.imgur.com/JPO7Rt4.jpg (Same Picture as above) and maybe code it to grow up walls..

Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it): Would be nice if this happened. I also do believe someone has touched upon this idea before so kudos to them( Found it viewtopic.php?f=59&t=2151&p=17519&hilit=#p17519 ).

+1 +1 +1 +1. I never got scared by seeing some green shit on the ground, to be honest. Not even ICly. Unless It's very very dark, and there are nests and other things.

I like this idea, would make it seem more like a hive. Also resin floors would look good too.

There are bloods everywhere. There are gibs. There are Xeno Gibs. There are blood trails. Aliens are slashing lights. You tell me, it's not scary enough. How nice to see a large population of Rambos are growing stronger and multiplying.

Having weeds on the walls should reinforce them abit aswell, almost like a secondary wall onto it.

Might have to make some changes to the way certain things work though in-game.

Doing so should just have you need to cut the weeds off before you can dissemble it. Explosions should still detonate walls as if the resin was not there.

It is possible that abby could do something with the resin, to make it into a multi-layer decal, so when you walk on weed tiles, you get some resin over everything else, kinda like spacevines... However, the issue with this then is like trying to take a marine north of the queen model - hard as piss and annoys people. I see where you're coming from, but unfortunately there is only so much that can be done with this format. I did have an in-game suggestion yesterday to make the game a more progressive system, forcing the marines to start with shit-tier and scavenge for better gear, like in isolation - something that clearly wouldn't work with this format. Its nice to have these ideas and wants, but the sad truth is that many of them are simply not possible for this game.

I think, the biggest problem with this, would be that we'd need 2 tilesets for each type of wall because of how smoothing works.

It's not impossible to do, we'd just need to rework some stuff, and get some more tiles.

Get the resin overlay for nests that appear when you strap them in, too.

If you could make a nest over a wall? But It would require more plasma, and It would be harder to break out of It, and break it.

Well, of course. Oh, and probably give them very small damage over time, or hallucinations?... Though that may seem OP, or weird, but It's just an Idea.
