Chief_Executive - Moderator App
Byond ID: Chief_Executive
Age:
-17
Gender:
- Male
Timezone:
-Standard Eastern
On average, how many hours are you available per week to moderate?
-14 hours at the very least, Up to 48 hours a week.
Do you have any previous experience in being staff (not just SS13)?
-Yes.
Did you play any of the previous Colonial Marine servers?
-All of them since straykittys server and including this server under every host it had.
Have you had an application to Colonial Marines or New Eden denied before?
-Yes.
Are you currently a staff member elsewhere (not just SS13)? If so, where?
-No.
Have you ever been banned for more than 24 hours on Colonial Marines?
-No.
If a player was shooting everyone in briefing at round start how would you deal with the situation?
-teleport him to prison, undo the damage, and start a probably very short investigation onto why he did it then punish.
You notice that a xeno is breaching the Nostromo and is unable to seal it with resin. How would you deal with this and what punishment would you give for a first offender?
- Seal the breach, then discuss with the xeno about how he's breaking rules, and that ignorance is no excuse for breaking rules(Unless he knew the rules already then skip that step). I would kick him out of the round as punishment and refer him to the rules in the forums.
The marines want the nuke codes to detonate the Nostromo because they claim they are losing too many marines. There are currently 4 aliens and 20 marines in your /who. What do you do?
-Have CentCom reply, "A inaccurate report of casualties have resulted in a denial of your request for nuclear authorization code."
A Sulaco Medic has made several napalm grenades and hands them out to marines. One of the marines throws the grenade into Logistics. There are no admins or other moderators online. What do you do?
- Undo damage done by grenade, teleport the marine to prison and punish him accordingly(With, a once again probably very very.... very short investigation). Then I would have a word with the medical doctor. If it was the beginning of the round and he made the grenades without even having the knowledge that the aliens would be a tougher threat then what was to be expected out of a distress signal then I would punish for meta game. If it was mid - late game and everyone is aware that they're facing a deadly enemy, and one which the use of napalm would be a perfect weapon against them, I wouldn't punish for meta game.
What would you do if a player started to talk about the things he did to your mom last night?
-If a player was insulting me directly during my duties as staff I would have to disregard his statements about it and continue moderating the server. If he continues to harass me with insults I a mute him from adminhelps
Any additional information you'd like to add?
-I was a trail admin or just moderator( I have been trial mod, mod, trial admin, and admin, TWICE on this server, I get confused on when I was what) and was removed because of my prolonged absence from the server which is my fault of course I was dealing with life. I even know already some of the staff, known them for years now.

Also, when I refer to my investigations that I do, I check players notes for some background to help determine punishments if found guilty and talking with everyone involved who might contribute useful information.

When I say I was staff for the server before, this was awhile ago, when the server first came out I was there, it was then that I joined the staff. Which I believe was a year ago.

The answers were good, but we need staff that are reliable and active. Due to that, I am neutral as well.

What do you mean by you had an app denied? Like denied right at this stage or after trial period?

Re: Chief_Executive - Moderator App
If I remember correctly.
Chief_Executive did apply to be a moderator... TWICE... The first one failed... The second one passed...I believe.. You were just a moderator. I believe I was the Head Moderator during the time. I know I did say I will explain deeper... But... Yeah, I was on my mobile device... Also, I just checked the logs. Yes, you were active in the midnight of Colonial Marines, and you were probably fired for inactivity. Although, I have not seen you much this week. From what it looks like, you just randomly appeared and applied for a moderator position.
Inactivity Signs.
Vague Answers.
Grammars Errors
Reflecting back on what I said.
Neutral leaning toward -1

Re: Chief_Executive - Moderator App
Agreeing with what UM just said, i do remember you and the huge levels of inactivity.
The answers, whilst to a degree were sound, suffer from the fact that should the player involved prove innocent, moderators don't have the power to return them to the station from the prison, nor return their gear to them.
Neutral, leaning towards a -1

Re: Chief_Executive - Moderator App
Denied. I have not really seen you a lot in the past and to sum things up Unknown wraps it up pretty nicely. You have some grammar issues here in the application and there are some pretty vague answers here. This will be moved in approximately 24 hours from this post.
