So as it's come to many peoples attention most rounds recently having been lagging horribly causing atleast a 5-7 second delay between you doing stuff... now i mean a couple of months back it was never that laggy even with loads of people on... so what has been changed to make it lag so much now....

On a side note it isn't the players i don't think and it isn't atmos ( well it isn't atmos unless some asshat breaks it somehow at the beginning of each round)So i'm running out of ideas what it could be... actually causing the massive amounts of lag.

So yeah this is kind of just a general sums up of how it feels to play currently. ( Unplayable )

It would be nice to get feedback on what actually is causing the lag...

The reasoning behind this is mainly due to.. the server never use to this bad with lag.. even before apop upgraded the server... so it just seems highly odd that all of a sudden we get massive dose of unplayable lag.

So if you have any ideas or corrections please do.. tell them.

The funny thing is all the stuff you have suggested anyway we could do perfectly fine before... so now i'm thinking maybe a recent update could be somehow causing unnecessary lag, Well that's the idea..

The lag is caused by the massive ammount of objects in everyone's belts and shotgun boxes, the mags in the ammo boxes, the weeds, the hugger corpses everywhere, the devouring, the chesbursteds... It's literally caused by everything.

The problem is we could do all that before but.. now the server decides to freeze up every 5-7 seconds so.. something must have happened recently to actually cause this.

See this is the problem nobody actually has any idea or can explain anything behind what they say instead they are just chucking out useless shit which they think may be the cause of it.

The server should be better now than before. Apop did some magic on the server.

CM suffers from numerous constant game ticks. Meaning there is always something generating issues that forces the server to process.

The biggest issue if you notice is as rounds progress they become almost slugged down completely. One of the main reasons from this is opening lockers/containers/canisters. By opening these you're forcing the server to process more items and as someone stated all the small items in people's belts and backpacks are killer.

Aliens generate weeds, which grow slowly, eggs are constantly hatching and facehuggers are constantly being produced.

This is of course the obvious issues, which I believe are causing the biggest issues. Perhaps something recently is causing conflicting errors with the server, who knows.
