Beyond ID: Aeleto
Character name: Mark Hanford
Admin who banned you: Tranquill
Initial duration: 7 days
Duration remaining: 7 days
Reason for ban: Apparently killed someone with a chloral hydrate (5 units), and the ban claims that I've attacked others.
Your appeal, including evidence (an http://www.imgur.com album is recommended for multiple screenshots): Seriously, just pull the logs. I've only made two doses of five units of Chloral Hydrate that aren't even enough to kill someone, and they were justifiable used. First guy used a nade, exploded some walls from the psych's office. I dosed him, straightjacked, had a talk and let him go. Second one was dosed after running naked inside Medbay and waving a rifle around, straightjacketed and put on a rollerbed at the middle of Medbay. I left the Medbay after that and went to command to ask CC about any possible evac, and stayed there. I've never damn killed him. The logs of me supposedly "attacking" someone was the logs of my character stripping a dead one for better armour and equipment due to reports of aliens running loose on Sulaco.
Unfair ban.

Re: Unfair ban.
From what I'm seeing on my attack log... You chloral hydrated and attacked players. This isn't your first time doing it. However, I'm up for dropping it to 3 days ban.
Although, that isn't your REAL REASON for a ban: As a Sulaco Medic, used Chloral Hydrate and killed someone without a good reason, and according to his attack logs he has been injecting others too. Issuing a week ban seeing it isn't his first time doing this.

Re: Unfair ban.
I would be content with a 3 day ban except by the fact I've never killed someone, overdosed them or did anything that endangered their lives. Like I said, I've ever "attacked" the two guys when they were showing dangerous behaviour, and I've made sure their surroundings were safe to them before leaving the Medbay (it was manned by other two doctors besides me) since command was a chaos, and I had to take over due to the lack of LOs or a competent commander.UnknownMurder wrote:From what I'm seeing on my attack log... Re: Unfair ban.
Alright, we had a pretty interesting detective session over this. Bottom line: I'm removing your ban.
Here's what we found:
The only two logs between you and Oleksy:
Oleksy's final damage at death:
We tested the use of an autoinjector on two blank humans, first with 5 units (non-lethal), then with 10 units, then with 15 units (lethal). The non-lethal dose healed all of his damage and was fine. The human with 10 units (who was injected later by another 5 units to make the total 15), actually ended up being fine as well. The lethal (15 units all at once) dose was not fine:
So, with a single autoinjector injection only ever giving 5 units maximum, it seems impossible that the injection itself killed Oleksy. Furthermore, Oleksy died with very high Oxy damage, and even the lethal dose of Chloral didn't cause that much Oxy damage to the blank human.
However, what happened after the injection is purely conjecture. Due to the high Oxy damage, it's possible that the player was thrown into space through one of the airlocks in the Hangar, but that wouldn't explain the high toxin damage unless being in space increases toxin damage or amplifies already-existing toxin damage (I'm pretty sure it doesn't). Regardless, there are no logs and no witnesses (the killed player was offline or AFK).
I think I remembered everything. Needless to say, there's insufficient evidence to prosecute. Ban removed.
