Byond ID: Youbar
Character name: Ludwig Austerlitz
Admin who banned you: OfficialJake
Initial duration: Permanent..? Permanent Job Ban
Duration remaining: Eternity/until the next server reset
Reason for ban: Ignorant of LO job rules (2 offenses in same round) left all access ID in computer.
Your appeal, including evidence (an http://www.imgur.com album is recommended for multiple screenshots):
I'm sorry. I was being a shittier player than the usual shitty player I am, and thought that usual HoP rules applied from other servers.
I broke two rules:
a) Do NOT give all-access or place all-access cards in the LO computers and leave them.
and b) Do NOT give out custom IDs - Stick to the pre-assigned IDs and don't give additional unnecessary access.
How I broke a) is pretty self explanatory. I left an ID (with its only access being to the ID console) in the computer with a note basically saying "Feel free to assign yourself if I'm not here".
I broke b) by assigning myself Sulaco Medical access so I could help out when I was free and then renaming my job to "Logistics Officer (with a bit of extra access)". This was probably a stupid idea but I like to think of my character ascending to Logistics Officer rank by virtue of their combat medical skills.
I'm not going to argue with this ban. They're your rules, I broke them, and as much as I might disagree with them in some places, they are what they are.
All I can say is this: I'm sorry. I thought I was being helpful, but I should have read the rules regarding the position before I went ahead and did what I did. Please find some place in your hearts for a terrible player like me, and unban me.

Re: Youbar's Ban Appeal
I think I'm misunderstanding something... Did you get a permanent ban over a job change and an ID inside a computer?

If you would permaban a player, you owe it to him to look into his logs and hear his side of the story. And if you cannot bear to do that, then perhaps the player does not deserve to be banned.

Re: Youbar's Ban Appeal
It's up to SAS and OJ whether you will be unjobbanned or not, but here are my two cents:
Considering that a) you weren't fully aware of our rules with regards to LOs, which cannot be used as an excuse but should be taken into consideration nonetheless, that b) all you've done you did for trying to help, and finally that c) you seem smart enough not to repeat your mistakes, I give you my sympathies. I think we need good LOs, and you seem very willing to be an LO again. And yet, make sure you reread our rules.

Re: Youbar's Ban Appeal
Just to clarify, you can only perma-job ban on non-SQL servers this isn't because you deserved a perma job ban per say its because thats just what happens.
I'm sure given your acceptance that yes you were wrong to do what you did there can be some room for leniency on this one. Although, thats mostly up to SAS at this point.

As long as SAS an OJ agree, I support removing the job ban. I do wish that we had temp job bans but they are not supported on the technical side. It is obvious that you are willing to read the LO job rules and abide by them.
