Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary):
Was going to vent, but I decided a better use of my time would be to determine how to improve the Squad Engineer experience in the alpha.
Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole):
Making getting equipped as a Squad Engineer not a total and complete PIT fucking A.
Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc):
#1: More light replacers in the vendor. Also add a bunch of light tubes to restock it.
#2: Welding helmets or welding goggles in the engineering vendor. Fucking seriously.
#3: Metal and glass supplies in the engineering vendor. Also fucking seriously.
#4: More c-4 in the Engineering vendor.
#5: Seclight flashlight sprites. More flashlights at the vendor.
#6: Make knives and flashlights attachable.
Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it):
Minor mapping changes.

So, #6 is done, you get them from the requisitions guy (he has bayonets, flashlights, silencers all sorts of shit)
#1 can also be handled by requisitions, but I'm not sure why a COMBAT ENGINEER would waste his time replacing lights.
#2 That we cna look into
#3 Your primary job as a combat engineer, would be repairs and hacking doors, or fixing the generators. Not building super-bases. THis is also not an invasion, but an investigation/rescue, no reason for you to be decked out in supplies.
#4 I'll look at this and see the count
#5 If you want new sprites and don't like ours, do them yourself.

But you already _have_ the sec lights from the old map; all you need to do is import them.
Light replacing is definitely valuable when establishing FOBs; same with metal supplies. It's not about building super bases as much as it is about building a staging ground and foothold.

Oh, that light. We are still importing sprites over and doing work on them.
