I think Biolock summarized my opinion quite brilliantly, so let us discuss Biolock's statement:
"Blackouts need to be removed. They aren't lore friendly or fun."
Do you agree? Why?
This. But until we get a better method of renesting people other than hoping they black out and spam clicking with an unreliable tackle... I don't see any other way.Pink wrote:It can be almost impossible to stop survivors if they do un-nest and start running around.
However blackouts are stupid and non canon.
How about actually getting aliens to build a decent nest? You have the power to pop up walls out of nowhere. If you allow your hosts to run around, that's your fault.Telegnats wrote: This. I think you missed the point, which shouldn't come as a surprise. Here, have another read:Telegnats wrote:But outright removing black outs because it pisses marines off is NOT the way to go about making changes. And I refuse to let people spew out how they don't like a feature and want it gone based on that alone.
If you read the last phrase in my quote above, you may notice that I care so much about your opinion that I explicitly asked for it. Furthermore, this is NOT a suggestion but a discussion.Juninho77 wrote:I think Biolock summarized my opinion quite brilliantly, so let us discuss Biolock's statement:

I just told you that as an Alien player I wouldn't have any problem if it was removed. Thats because as an Alien player I 'got gud' and don't build the nest so that any asshole can escape.Telegnats wrote:I agree - it needs to be removed, and the aliens in that video weren't good. But the hive was decently built. It could of been better, but it sufficed. Only he got out anyway.
But outright removing black outs because it pisses marines off is NOT the way to go about making changes. And I refuse to let people spew out how they don't like a feature and want it gone based on that alone with no form of concern for the other side whatsoever.
My apologies for that. I can now see how my wording was ambiguous. I posted the video intending to show how NOT to build a nest (reasoning here), and how to get hosts back in order once they free themselves.Telegnats wrote:Insulting my intelligence as you post a video about playing warrior and think it's a perfect guide for building a nest. Never mind that your only reasoning to remove it - Sorry, LEGITIMATE reason for removing it - is that is isn't "Fun".
