[ALPHA] Shorten shuttle times

CM Version (alpha or Regular):Alpha

Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary):Shorten the shuttle times... Things such as getting marines back to the sulaco in time to have surgical operations is nearly impossible at the moment.

Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole):It'll give the marines a buff they really need right now.

Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc):Pretty much explained it.

Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it): Modify the shuttle timer.

Shuttle transit should take around one minute at most. Otherwise it severely delays logistics related to managing the marines under you.

*Cough* If we add a new job as a shuttle pilot you could have it so when the shuttle is activated by the pilot it would take a shorter amount of time to land as he/she would be experienced in flying the shuttle.(You could probably make it shorter via the pilot's ID so if the player uses the pilot's ID it would travel quicker... well that's how i can think to code it but eh.. you can probably think some other stuff up as well)

-1. 2 mins is long enough. If you want surgeries flowing- get the bird moving on time or get a doc to FOB.

EDIT: Yes on shuttle pilot, also yes on MP's acting as pilots now if enough MP's.

Eh, I find that the limiting factor is more often how often command or SLs feel like sending it rather than the timer itself. You can usually stabilize well enough as a combat medic to get them back to the Sulaco if BOs or the LZ/FOB SLs are competent enough.

On the shuttle pilot thing, I feel like the pilot would have a lot of boring downtime. On the other hand, having a dedicated dropship pilot would be pretty nice to have lore-wise.

There isnt that much downtime for a pilot in an organized marine round. Load/unload/repair/eat/banter/not die.

So for this. And maybe even give control over of the turrets to him that are on the front of the dropship.

Well, my thought was that if the Pilot was flying, he'd be able to "shorten" the times, but also, the shuttle could be flown without the pilot, for the current times.

And, the pilot could "refuel" the ship on the sulaco to shorten the time even more.

That could work but the pilot would probably need some new sprited uniform to fit the 'Pilot' look.

This sounds like a job I'd play non-stop. Personally, I'd like for the pilot to have control over those turrets too, so he can defend his cockpit from threats. Because those turrets are just there to be blown up right now.

+1 the idea of shuttle pilot, it would be great for the marines and great for the realism all while adding another fun and interesting job

I really like the ideas of the shuttle pilot being able to do things to even speed up shuttle times as well when theyre doing their job right

Certainly would be nice as well for command that they don't have marines shouting in their ears to send down the shuttle when you are trying to manage everything else up there especially when you have BO's who have no idea what they are doing or they go SSD and have to man more then one console. +1
