Keyword22's Ban Appeal
Byond ID: Keyword22
Character name: N/A
Admin who banned you: "Banned By Host"
Initial duration: "Only the Host Can Remove this Ban" So I assume, permanent. (The ban was Issued the 25th of May, 2015)
Duration remaining: Permanent?
Reason for ban: Multikeyer/Spammer
Your appeal, including evidence (an http://www.imgur.com album is recommended for multiple screenshots): I spammed "The Name's Bond, James Bond" over 4 consecutives Station-Bounced Radios, I Don't really feel like it was a prudent or good thing to do, looking back it was pretty stupid. I'd like a second chance to prove my worth as an actually good player. No Idea about the multikeying part, I was only using my account alone when I did this.

Re: Keyword22's Ban Appeal
You spammed it, with a tool.
Then, tried to evade the ban as a multikeyer...
I was there.

I used no tool other than window's Ctrl + C, Ctrl + V and 4 station-bounced radios. Each station bounced radio produced a separate message which would've been around 10 to 13 messages a second. I have no reason to lie about it, it's not like it makes it any better.apophis775 wrote:You spammed it, with a tool.

I also did not try to evade the ban, Since that's not really possible to do, as Byond servers keep track of both your IP and Computer ID, and I didn't really switch to any different account while doing it at all. There were 2 more people doing it besides me, though.

Re: Keyword22's Ban Appeal
I see that you did it, with a group of people, all logged in with the same name, within 10 minutes of each other, and spammed several HUNDRED times.
You had NEVER been on the server before that, and no attempts to login since.
And this wasn't "heat of the moment" grief or something like that. You and your other 2 fucktard friends, gathered up radios, had the same names, and started spamming at the same time.
Maybe if you had been a player prior to that, I'd give you another chance, but since you did it after a random hacker declared a "digital jihad" on us, and tried to take us down (except, he was retarded, and I have network security training so he was obviously outmatched).
As a result, the resolution of this will probably be: You can fuck right off.
I will give you ONE SINGLE CHANCE to convince me.

I know what I did wasn't really "funny" or mature at all, and I really look back at it as a stupid thing I did.apophis775 wrote:I see that you did it, with a group of people, all logged in with the same name, within 10 minutes of each other, and spammed several HUNDRED times.

I really have no Idea about that "Digital Jihad" thing, this was just something I did with some dudes (who I'm not affiliated with anymore) and I jumped the wagon like a retard.
I did use to play on the server (Or I think it was when it was hosted on New Eden?), but I never really stick out much, I just play quietly and mostly to myself.
Other than that all I can say is, I don't really feel proud about what I did and I ask for a chance to just prove myself.

So, some random dudes, decided to raid a server and you were like "Sure, I don't mind burning the bridges and being permabanned from them forever".
People need to THING ON CONSEQUENCES OF THEIR ACTIONS.
Personally, I fucking hate trolls/griefers who do shit like that, and don't think about the future consequences.
I notice, you didn't apply after it happened with an apology, and now your apply comes after we've gained popularity, released a new codebase, and re-invigorated the game-mode.

Well, It just hadn't crossed my mind until recently when the server was being brought up everywhere because of it's spike on player activity. And I thought "Wow, I really fucked up, maybe I owe them an apology".apophis775 wrote:So, some random dudes, decided to raid a server and you were like "Sure, I don't mind burning the bridges and being permabanned from them forever".

So for the most part, this thread was made with an apologetic "theme", because I did probably ruin someone's fun that day, and I probably should let them know that I'm sorry.
And I do agree, All Actions Lead to Consequences, but I guess I really wasn't thinking straight when I jumped in like that.

Re: Keyword22's Ban Appeal
I will tell you what.
So long as you are aware that, if you do it again, you'll be permabanned FOREVER with no chance of appeal, I don't mind lifting the ban if another head-staff agrees.
