CYRILLIC INGAME

How do I make it, so I can see cyrillic ingame and not just äöäöüöüöäöäöü and the sorts. Would be nice if anyone could tell me, can't find anything on Google.

Just so I can try translating it, I speak a bit russian, so I understood a bit. Зачем = Atchjem/ Why , тебе = Tibje / (for you) . кириллица = cyrillnia??? = Cyrillic , last bit I don't know xD. I need cyrillic ingame so I can work on my russian :P Am from siberia, but born in Germany, so I don't speak alot of russian and playing on russian servers and shit would help me a little :P

Welp, I can organise for ya few lessons of Russian XD But, actually, you just need cyrillic installed on computer, I think. Cause when I'm playing on Russian server, I do nothing, it's feature of server. There is some small fix for server, that allows Russian in chat. (But no in game, only in chat.)

Last "в игре" - "v igre", means "in game".

Ah thanks. For some reason I don't see cyrillic as cyrillic but as "äöäöüüöä" and so on, I'll play around with the settings on my PC and see what happens. :P

Strange, on that server, where I play sometimes, Russian can be only in chat. In game it still dfogjdhi or, for example, empty space, if you name medbot in Russian. I never saw server where full-gami in Russian.

That means, that you have installed cyrillic library. Do you have cyrillic language set on computer?

I've "installed" it (I could just select it in my options) , but I haven't activated it, because that turns what I write into russian too.

That's it. Okay, even if English have EN, instead of US or UK, still Ukraine should be UA. Welp, Windows is weird.

Jesser, I got that, but when I'm ingame it still shows up as öääöüäöäü and so on, even tho I got it on. Earlier this round I saw ppl write in cyrillic, but I couldn't read it. I think it's jsut bugged for me, or I gotta change lagnuage in byond.

That won't work since I have BYOND in English and still cyrillic shows normally even on marines, I checked that.

My bet is that the guy doesn't has Russian in his system. Tho he didn't say if he has same problem in other places, not only BYOND.

Ukrainian guy here. UA is national code but UK is Ukrainian language code. Ukrainian Wikipedia is uk.wikipedia.org

Також українська мова трохи (а може й дуже) відрізняється від російської, але використовує приблизно той ж самий алфавіт. Тому не факт, що якщо ти бачиш ті символи, то є російська

Translation: also Ukrainian language is a bit different (or maybe a lot) from Russian while it uses almost the same alphabet. So it's not given that if you see those symbols it has to be Russian

Also belorusian and few other languages (like Lezgi) use Cyrillic

To have that shit visible in game you have to have Russian language pack installed for your OS

it's a trend
