Dra's ban appeal

Post by dra24680 » 04 Aug 2015, 14:53

Beyond ID: Dra24680

Character name: Marreese Michaels

Admin who banned you: Apophis775

Initial duration: Permanent.

Duration remaining: None

Reason for ban: Griefing.
Your appeal, including evidence (an www.imgur.com album is recommended for multiple screenshots): I was an officer, and I randomly shot another person of Command dead. I was later banned, and i've been banned from Alpha a while ago. I had a great time on the other Colonial Marines, I never got banned, and I had such a fun time. I used the time I was banned to reflect on my poor decisions that resulted in me justifiably being permanently banned from Alpha. I ask that the ban may be lifted.

Soooo.... You just admitted that you randomly killed a fellow officer. Without reason or warning? That is what I am seeing in this appeal.

I'm 99% sure he shot me in the Bridge, which I found odd because I remembered his name in-game a few time's.

I have no hard feelings about being killed, I A-helped just to get revived really.

pink your fired.... Oh right I can't fire you. Well in all seriousness if we can confirm it was pink and pink has no issue with the problem I see no reason not to give you another shot.

He either shot me or the other commanding staff beside me.

I feel like I A-Helped it though because that name really ring's a bell, could of been a different incident though.

Well from what I can see there was no real reason I can find from logs as to why you shot the person. However pink I do believe you are not involved in this... At least Directly. You might be witness but he did not engage you. I will wait to see what other staff think on the matter.

We've been banning a lot of people lately for doing stuff like this. The issue is when you kill a marine it disrupts the round because for the duration that they're dead, they are missing out. Additionally we have to stop everything that we're doing and investigate while more ahelps are coming in and try desperately to juggle the two.

That being said, Pink is something of a character witness here. Normally the griefers we have are people who join for the first time and go postal but he claims you have been on a bit. Now, I definitely think there should be reservations made if you're unbanned, such as an immediate reinstatement of said ban if you're found to be guilty of griefing, even if it's a single victim.

If the heads put forward a motion like that, I would be all in support for giving you another shot, but definitely not a clean slate.

Swordhill: Did your predator just grand-theft auto a cargo train from a marine? Apophis775: That's classified.

I think your forgetting what photos are used for... Its not for what YOU are telling us its for evidence... For now I am saying wait about a week or two than try this appeal again. We have just been banning to many people from these positions for this exact reason. This has been resolved and will be moved in approximately 10 hours
