Surgery For Marines

Post by RehabBaron » 07 Aug 2015, 02:08

Summary: Surgery for standard marines.

Benefits: It'd add more depth to the game, and add some balance.

Details: Obviously table as operating table, combat knife for scalpel, flare for cautery, and the other ghetto surgery tools. That's all I can think of for now, I could probably add more. Metagame rules apply, so it'd have to be crude and simple and cause a lot of damage to the marine, only serving it's purpose. Also infections. And blood. A lot of them. Think about how surgeries in the Civil War killed more people than bullets.

There are already ghetto surgery tools, and apop doesn't want more field surgeries done by marines.
I'm stressing way too hard about what to put here, so I'm just gonna leave it blank.... or....

You can already do ghetto surgery with tools, and the cumulative fail chance for each step between an improper operating surface and your improvised surgical gear is so high that yes, you can seriously hurt or kill someone in the process.

As far as I could tell most of the surgeries that is possible to do except maybe alien removal ain't something you would do on the field.
If any marine surgery is to be allowed it would not be to standard marines but to the combat medics who by job definition are supposed to only stabilize people enough to get them to a doctor.
