Rules aganst aliens running off with backpacks
Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary):at the start of the round all too often some aliens are either camping the shuttle waiting for the mariens. and then they attack the marines. and run off with some of their spare backpacks full of metal or other things.
Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole):Less meta
Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc):Way too often aliens like runners or hunters will attack a marine. and run off pulling their backpack to melt it somewhere without even trying to capture or get the marine hugged.. which is annoying if i am bringing extra metal and stuff or ammo in a secondary backpack for the squad. i think there should be a rule added to prevent aliens from doing this. it usually happens right at the start of the round when the marines are first landing which is really annoying if you lose all the metal or medical supplies.
Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it):A change of the rules

Wait, the alien has enough time to knock you down and de-backpack you without an ally interfering?

I'll be honest, I haven't seen this done and I play as Xeno every chance I get... Then again, I don't wait for the shuttle to arrive, because while rules say Marines shouldn't automatically KoS aliens, it happens more often than not so I don't risk it.
Is it annoying? Yes. Dick move? I'd say. But, so is deploying mines on ladders, and every adjacent tile...
I'm neutral on this one. On one hand, you could argue it's a bit meta, and it's a dick move. On the other, if a xeno manages to charge the LZ, knock you down and nick your backpack and drag it off WITHOUT getting lit up and killed... They kinda deserve a trophy for that.

-1 Aliens are more likely to take your weapon, than your backpack. If an alien sees an alien/human thing, to them, they will take it for curiosities sake possibly.
But it does come down to that you should have your backpack on your back. If it's a spare, then be prepared to lose it, like your main weapon.

ragged off and my backpack left behind. but when aliens do it right at the start of the round it's really annoying, stupid, a dick move, and i think it's quite a bit meta. i mean? what use would an alien have for the backpack? what reason would they have to take it. especially right at the beginning of the round

Why on earth, would you have a second backpack?
Your get one backpack.
Don't bring a second one...
If you need additional supplies, I'm fairly certain the overwatch and supply drop system abby build, is MORE than effective enough.

-1 I got feeling that this should be in general discussion first, as this rule is far too specific, and you may be only one with this certain problem.
However, this is part of bigger problem, aliens giving too much interest to all the human items lying around. The aliens have zero ic reasons to drag away backpacks or suchs..much less to melt them randomy.
There should be some rule against aliens melting /everything/ as I have noticed that people have habit of melting items that could be used against them later on the round, even without any ic reason.
Examples; plasma cutters and other mining tools, backpacks and other item holding boxes, and general weapons and explosives, before marines have landed.
I can understand destroying weapons and explosives later on the round when aliens understand that they are harmfull, but every other item laying around should be just useless junk to them and be ignored.

The Aliens shouldn't be setting up for a round-start shuttle gank. They should NOT know where Marines are landing and when Aliens do it they should be treated the same as Marines who put up defenses in the hangar/briefing before any Aliens get on board.

Not really an issue anymore.
