Mason's Display[Show what you've built]

Post by Thrain » 17 Aug 2015, 16:27

Use this to show off cool hives you've constructed, or fortifications you've built as a marine. Or just random modifications to the Sulaco that you felt was cool.

I'll start off with my latest hive construction:

For some reason I want to make a 1x1 replica Rasputin next to or on the Rasputin pad made entirely of Resin now.

Xeno Cult of the bird is go.

I was the only one on at the time when I built this thing as CE because I got so tired or research running out of power. Admin screenshot this when he got on: http://i.imgur.com/owQ6V1f.png

Sadly I don't have an image of it. But I built a turret where the gold pillar was in FOB. Then surrounded it completely with grilles and tables. It managed to take down a tier 3 while on 360 and burst before they could kill it.

I knew I should have taken more screenshots from my stuff, I have build countless mazes, traps, great walls and other unusual xeno builds. Here is latest one.

Different idea for hive.
Obliviously I didin't build this hive alone, as being queen is busy work.
It kinda got out of hand as I tried explaining to the helping drones what they should build. Better or worse it turned a lot different than I though, but the Basic idea;

1.Huge wall to stop marines from just shooting the hive into pieces. (this happens a lot with my mazes)
2.Open tunnel leading to the room, where the prisoners can be seen.
3. Humans in nests being used as a bait, hopefully luring the attackers to stay long enough for xenos to pour into the hall behind them.

That was a fun hive design. Too bad we did so well we never got to use it.

This one is rather old, and not from CM. It was when I was busy working on the baystation construction station during a slow shift. I made two wings on both sides of it, this was one of said four wings. I um.. heard you like solar pannels? Ended up using over 200 solar pannels per wing.

My hasty defence, built in three minutes after hearing the unauthorized shuttle console access. Mainly note the five turrrets. electrified grilles, and barricades.
