pAI's need to have at least a flashlight of some kind. And if it is claimed by a person, only that person can remove it from the pAI, not some troll to kill the randomly. Also have a chassis that can be fixed with welding and wires, also with wheels.:

People that want to be pAI's wont have to worry about being deleted by a greifer and can scout in the dark for their owner. Or have some sort of night vision. The Wheeled chassis can make the pAI faster because they are quite slow.:

Choosing the chassis can be just adding a wheeled chassis to the chassis selection. When the pAI has an owner, only allow that person the option to delete it, not someone else. And the flashlight can be in the AI tab to toggle on and off.:

I think you typed in the wrong format,also it would fuck balance if marines had night vision and a flash light in thier pAi's,because an alien can't kill an pAi.

I would +1 For a flash light, IF your marine dies in the hive you are basically fucked and that just ruins the round for them.

Add lights or night vision to Pai.

Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole):
Will allow them to see in the dark, so if lost or exploring they will be able to see. Allows for many uses such as for scouting, exploration and as in my case running away from xenos that wish to kill me

Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc):
It would make Pai's a little more fucnitonal. At this point at least for me they feel more roleplay and just an extra voice. I like playing them it would be nice to be able to move about. I would go with night vision so only the Pai can See. Making so they could be more useful.

A flashlight would be a fun little tool that pAI would logically have to assist their master. +1 to flashlight.

Yes please, I play pAI lots and it sucks to not be able to see.

Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary):I think PAI's should be able to see in the dark, in game part of what I have seen as an implied use for them by the marines is scouting without putting marines in danger so it makes sense they would be able to see in the dark without depending on a marine being nearby.

Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole): Give more options for using PAI's and also allow them to find their way back to their master or other friendlies if they are separated.

Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc): Could be implemented as a toggle option with a similar effect to the Smartgun Head Mounted Sight

So basically it's a real simple idea, I suggest that pAI's get some kind of lights, now they don't have to be flash lights, they could just be something smaller, like a pen light.

Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole):

It'll make it so pAI's can see when you're running around, and to be honest, I don't see why they wouldn't put a flashlight on a pAI and with the light, the pAI could also function as a 'scout' for the marines.

I think it should be under on the software downloads, like the messenger and Med HUD, but I think it cost some what of a low cost at 10 points.

While I'm fine with pAI's getting a light. Since that would give alieums a reason to attack them other than strange metal creature. I'm not okay with giving them night vision. Because then marines get poor mans NVG. Where the pAI just constantly watches the entire screen for movement, even if the marine can't see the xeno due to lighting. -1

why not give the pAI a flashlight software. As a pAI you may find yourself lost in the jungles, its hard to find your way, because every thing is dark. So why not give them a sort of PDA flashlight

This will allow pAIs to scout for the marines better. As it is their job to keep marines out of trouble and protect their master and what better way then to scout for the squad.

Currently if you loose your squad, you can not drag a light to show the way, you are doomed to stumble along in the dark, likely to fall pray to an alien.

Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary): Other than being funny or sometimes cute, pAIs are also commonly used as scouts when marines are on the field. I think that having the pAI have a light would be beneficial as it would help with scouting or if their master is killed, they can see to get back to base.

Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole): It would give pAIs more purpose to their existance other than being entertainers.

Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc): Marine would turn the pAI loose to scout ahead when they are searching for the last aliens.

Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it): Much like how the light on the PDA works (only better, like a flashlight). Could be a software install for the pAI.

Aww, I just posted a suggestion for this too. Seems you beat me by several days :D.

I explained it in the terms of being used for marines to have them scout. I would +1 this if it matters.

Merged 6 different topics into this one because people hate to search for similar suggestions.

Also, fixed. Added "Toggle Light" verb to pAIs.
