Rocket Launchers and Grenade Launchers should require 2 hands to use
Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary):
Rocket launchers and grenade launchers do not require both hands wielding them to be able to be used. They should.
Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole):
This would make dual wielding rocket launchers/grenade launchers impossible. If a marine needs two hands to fire an M41A, they should need two hands to fire a rocket/grenade launcher.
Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc):
It's really simple. Just make them two handed weapons. This would make things a lot more sensible.
Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it):

Re: Rocket Launchers and Grenade Launchers should require 2 hands to use
Considering the duel fact that explosives are far less powerful now, and that the SADAR recently (week) ago now has a reload delay I'm hesitant, and biased, against any further nerfs against explosives weapons.
Perhaps if rockets and Grenade Launcher grenades are buffed in the future to be actual capable of killing Aliens without resorting to additional rockets/gun fire then I might support a two handed system, maybe anyway, but until then I must disagree with this suggestion.

Re: Rocket Launchers and Grenade Launchers should require 2 hands to use
originally i was fully +1 because it makes sense from a lore and gameplay mechanic sense, if ANY weapon in history has ever guaranteed needed to be wielded with both hands at all times then rocket launchers and other anti tank weapons would certainly top that list.
but steelpoint raises the all important point of gameplay mechanics, if rockets are essentially worthless then we DO need to give them an edge where we can and unlike other firearms rockets need to be reloaded after every shot so having to unwield them after every shot will only serve to slow them down alot more, making rockets be two handed should come packaged with either a damage or radius buff.

I don't think it will be that slow with reloading from a wielded state to a non wielded state..
i mean the reload delay would probably finish by the time you have unwielded and gotten ready with another rocket shell in hand to begin reloading it so.. eh.. not sure about this.

Re: Rocket Launchers and Grenade Launchers should require 2 hands to use
A reload delay versus using two hands to reload should be mutually exclusive, as noted above forceing a reload delay on top of using two hands to use the weapon is simply too much a nerf, unless the rocket's were insanely powerful but I digress.
If we want to talk rocket damage balance values then sure, but I think that unless that discussion is brought up and rockets are buffed to be powerful, instead of the current meta for spec's being 'get the sniper', then this nerf is simply beating a dying horse.

Neutural on this, on one hand, it'd be more realistic, on the other, it's be kind of annoying. (Get the pun? On one hand, on the other...? Because... Two hands... And... *sigh*, I'll just show myself out.)

-1. You can fire a grenade launcher easily with one hand, accuracy would be the issue. I believe we also use the light rocket launcher that could be fired by balancing on the shoulder. You forget, we're supposed to be marines, not pansy normal everyday oomans.

Re: Rocket Launchers and Grenade Launchers should require 2 hands to use
Personally I would only accept a reload delay AND a two handed requirement for the SADAR if, and only if, the AP Rocket is buffed to kill anything bar a T3 Xeno on a direct hit (T3 should deal 60% dam) and a HE rocket should kill any T1 Xeno outright and deal a lot of damage to anything T2 and above.
In its current weak state throwing this duel nerf on a already sub-par weapon is just akin to removing it from the game.

This. And there is no 'balancing' a SADAR or other antitank rocket launcher on your shoulder. Most I am familiar with require two hands to operate the charging lever. Remember, just because it says 'recoiless' doesn't mean it won't jump back and break your orbital socket with the iron sights because you're a showoff idiot. It just means you can fire it without two tons of springs and turret ring. With the grenade launcher we have a different matter.Dyne wrote:+1 on SADAR, -1 on grenade launcher.

Now that definitely can be fired with one hand if you're using the stock.

Duplicate Suggestion.
