Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary): As we all know that during briefing, Commander is on the south and everyone is facing south. It just seems boring. Instead, how about having the Commander Stand should be in the middle of the briefing. Alpha would be top right corner, bravo top left. Charlie bottom right. Delta bottom left. Or however you prefer. I have two ways of setting the stand up. Either we can make it look like one of those fashion show where commander walks to the middle from south. Or just a middle box in the center.
Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole): Boosted Morale
Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc): Everyone would be facing each other instead of trying to pick on each other.
Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it): Mappin' Skills

Re: Commander Briefing Stand
ehhh, it sounds like it could be cool depending on how it was implemented.
+1 but i would like to see a general example of exactly what you have in mind, if alot of space is blocked off that will make it inconvenient for us just to travel through the hallway let alone defending that part of the ship when the aliens raid, even a crude drawing in MSPaint could clue us in.

Re: Commander Briefing Stand
From a mapping perspective it wouldn't really work without looking weird or taking dramatically more space; you can't make a circle in BYOND, not both in a square format and when characters can only face four separate directions. So you have to have the chairs in clumps, basically a flying H, so that individual squad groups don't face differently to be looking "at" the CO for aesthetic reasons.
Now that you have established this flying H, you have to pause a moment. What we have now is, more or less, a W. You half the horizontal space to add it onto the vertical, which is an issue because there's way less up and down to work with then side to side. As it stands, from a mapping perspective this is actually the best way to portray the briefing room aesthetically in SS13's format.
Nevermind the other stuff, like the corridor leading into the booth in the first place.

Re: Commander Briefing Stand
I have never been in a briefing ever, where the stand was in the middle. It's very... non-military.
