Byond version used by Colonial Marines
Currently looking into some bugs (http://www.byond.com/forum/?post=1928585) regarding the Byond web client with Lummox JR, could you give Byond version Colonial Marines is using so we can look into them further?

What are you asking for, exactly? The build/codebase?
edit: i THINK you're asking for the build/revision number.

Re: Byond version used by Colonial Marines
Well I reported some web client bugs that I ran into while playing Colonial marines and Lummox JR requested the full server version to determine whether updates he has made to the web client have or have not fixed the problems. I'm really just asking on his behalf, you can jump in the thread I linked if you need more information.

Hmm.
I'll poke Rahlzel or Apophis on the matter, hopefully they can help you and open some medium of private conversation with you/anybody else. I'll concede in saying I'm not sure what the issue is (besides Mac while running Byond, I've heard multiple problems with it). Server configuration is their thing, and it's not my place to give information or to even know it.
AFAIK it's built and optimized for Windows users. As a Win10 dude, I've never had a single problem running BYOND or Dream Maker in my life outside of failed compiling.

Re: Byond version used by Colonial Marines
507.1286
As of this post, it's the latest Stable version. That's what the CM server is using.
I see his message about v508 fixing some of the issues you're having, so if you were going to ask me about updating, I'll have to politely decline. I'd much rather be on a Stable revision as opposed to Beta unless absolutely necessary and beneficial for everyone on the server.
Otherwise, if there's any evidence that updating to Beta is better than what we're doing now, I'll be happy to review it.
Moving this to General.
EDIT: Looks like he's moving to 508 by the end of next week-ish: http://www.byond.com/forum/?post=185620 ... nt15164494

Didn't 508.1299 become the new stable? (http://www.byond.com/forum/?post=180952 ... nt16565363)

Re: Byond version used by Colonial Marines
I'm pretty sure that's a typo and he meant "Beta", because Byond is reporting that 507 is Stable, and 508.1299 is the latest latest release, so it's more than likely Beta.
Though I'd be more than happy to be proven wrong. Perhaps we need to update.
EDIT: Maybe he meant that it will become the new Stable, but it isn't right now.

Yup, I saw that, too. I'll update to it - most likely tonight or tomorrow.

Re: Byond version used by Colonial Marines
Fixed. sorry, but we can't let people use webclients, as it makes it HELLA easy to ban evade with proxy services.

Re: Byond version used by Colonial Marines
Yeah, also I found a bug that allowed people to have true X-Ray vision if they had meson goggles using the webclient something that didn't happen with the normal one.
