Dedicated Wiki Entry for MP
Summary: Getting a bit tired of the "I'm breaking your legs even though you're handcuffed, sorry, just following orders." and the "I'm MP, I'll beat you if I want to beat you, whenever I feel like it." coming from MP... A few bad apples is fine, but at this point from what im seeing, there are only a few GOOD ones. So many of them just beat and kill prisoners because they feel like it. Had to deal with it two rounds in a row. Second round, I sedated every MP at one point and demanded they cut the shit. (I ahelped for permission to do so, ended up being quite fun with the whole Medbay vs MP, in which MP's got rekt). So, since there isn't a real guideline as far as I know, why not make one? Lay down the law of the Do's and Do Not's of MP!
Benefits: It'd give MP something to go off of. The Security wiki doesn't cover some scenarios that are more unique to CM, such as dealing with survivors that are scared for their lives and may lash out.
Details: The guide would outline the following, if not more. Main job, dealing with criminals, dealing with distraught and potentially violent survivors, rules and regulations regarding arrest, when it's okay to use force, what qualifies as excessive force, explaining that it isn't okay to beat prisoners and that it's in fact a crime. And in big, red letters at the top, "'I'm just following orders.' is NOT an excuse, you are human, not a hive-mind. If a Superior orders you to do something illegal, you can disobey and charge them with a crime." or something.
Implementation: Already stated, just add it to the wiki.
No, this isn't just me being lightly salted at MP, their "Brutality Boners" made things a bit interesting, but it shouldn't be a thing they do every round. MP's are supposed to show restraint and self control, not swing their baton at anyone who looks at the funny. So this guideline can kinda point that out.
I'm fine with a bad cop or two, even if there's one every round. I'm NOT fine with a bad MP department every round.

Edit: Doing it here since I can't hit the little edit button with my phone::::: Really, MP's need to know that medical treatment takes priority over an arrest, and that interrupting a surgery, which HAS happened, is NOT okay.

I would, but I have no experience playing Security or MP. I could probably assist someone in creating it, but since I don't know MP or Security well enough to do this on my own, it's best to have someone who knows the job better than I do take care of it.FriedKetchup wrote:Sign up for the Wiki and create it yourself. :P
You might say "But Wicked, it sounds like you just don't like MP and you want them kept in line, when you haven't even tried it yourself!"
I'm planning on it later today, and I'm going to do it well. I hope. I'd probably play it as NT Security and follow that wiki and just do what I think is just for things the wiki doesn't cover, like encounters with frightened refugees or survivors.

Really don't care who does it as long as it's someone who actually knows the job and knows it well. I've only played it a few times so I'm no expert.

Yea I will work on one, just need to look at what they start with and stuff. Did mp one time, got tired of it just being myself and another officer rushing around trying to be super men, I like playing security, but that was just a headache.
