Vara'ule Kv'var-de (Young Huntress)
Byond ID: Gelonvia
Marine Name (so we know who you are): Casca 'Legs' Orivanna
Name of the character you want whitelisted (As in, the name your predator will use): vara'ule kv'var-de
Are you familiar with the Predator Code Of Honor (viewtopic.php?f=57&t=2693)?
Incredibly! I take it to heart not only in it's IC properties but in the OOC sense of not overweighing one side whether it's humans or Aliens, both are prey and you kill to kill, although you don't want to ruin ones game.
Character background (an RP description as to why this character would be in this position, such as clan information. This will weigh HEAVILY on the decision, so make the information count):
Vara'ule Kv'var-de was adopted into the Kv'var-de Clan after her father and mother died in Honorable Battle, as a youngling she trained often and practice with careful silent steps testing herself among the other younglings in the normal practice to hone their skills for their lives ahead, her discipline was harsh on her body, and her training harder, but in the end her successes went rewarded with acknowledgement from her peers and starting to earn at least a little permission to walk in the gaze of her peers such as the Elites. Vara'ule Kv'var-de was always careful to use what she had on her and what could never be taken from her rather then relying on weapons, or as she preferred to think of them 'Tools'. Because of this even after being given her body meshed clan uniform, wrist blades, and mask she still stuck to using her fists simply to fight, to surpass her limits and hone and train her body to it's fullest, even going so far as to de-activate her Waveform Analyzer in her helmet just to limit herself sadistically to rely on her born hearing. Vara'ule soon came to a decent height of 7 Feet 6'inches when she finally reached her full height, her skin blotchy and a light tannish shade from her natural appearance. Her dreadlocks were fastened into 15 different longer strands that worked along with her mandibles of considerably smaller size on her face.
Finally upon the day of her first start as a Young Huntress her Mentor presented her with a single wrist blade with long 16 inch blade. A single token and memory and memento passed down to her Mother to her and retrieved from her corpse upon instructions she gave to pass the heirloom to their next of kin. She took it graciously, bowing to her Mentor in respect and honoring him for the kindness of holding it all these years for her as a burden that must have been. Her mentor gave her an Order she had been expecting...something she keenly waited for, and trained for after all these years to lead up to. He Ordered her to start her training, she dawned her wrist blade and her gear of Padded Uniform and Mask, following him off to begin her training. Vara'ule soon found herself being sent down to a remote planet where she was tasked with killing 8 trained and armed humans, she was either to skin them and take their heads or not come back ever, those were her options. As she walked through the jungle she soon found the noise of the leaves to loud.... immediately adapting she took to the tree's and scanned the area for her prey. She found them quickly, 2 to the west, 2 to the East, 4 to the North... She immediately took to the tree's at first finding difficult from the frail branches as they began to snap, leaping to another branch as it plummeted to the ground crashing leaving her with the grave error understanding that if she were near them, she would be caught immediately, something she knew to learn quickly or else fail miserably. She carefully positioned her feet on the branch, near straddling it with her soles as she pushed off with her legs hopping to the next leaving her to immediately stop silent and turn looking at the Branch... no noise... she nods contently and returned westward and towards her prey.
She soon came across a small lake, a large opening in fact with two of them standing at the edge, thirsty for water, one bent over thirstily drinking at the water while the guarded with a decent sized SMG, enough bullets on its own to puncture holes straight through her padding and put her down if needed. The other seemed unarmed. Immediately she snapped off a branch of the tree with a delicate touch and tossed it out into the bushes, the guard immediately turned and started firing from the hip screaming as he shot away while the other screamed at them..."Seems they are undisciplined..." she thought. finally nothing was heard but constantly clicking from the gun before the other screamed at him and they got into some kind of verbal debate......finally one threw up his hands and walked off north while the other continued drinking, and in turn leaving Vara'ule to slunk down the trunk and move towards her prey silently. As she got close behind she clicked lowly, enough noise to get the prey's attention as it turned around wielding a knife, wide eyed in fear at the sight of her before he ran in the opposite direction treading across the lake and leaving Vara'ule to snarl in annoyance at her prey running, finding no amusement in a prey who denies her a fight, but still it brandished a knife and was her target so she hunted it with ease. As she finally caught up to the man he was panting, resting back against a high rock cornered, she sauntered forward, clicking in sadness at this sight until she noticed the man catch his breath...and lift his blade while a second hand already drew a pistol nearly ready to fire! Vara'ule immediately perked up at the sight, he wasn't a total loss...she then charged at him ramming shoulder first into the marine smashing him between the full body force, crushing his ribcage and in turn knocking the wind out of the man as he gasped for air dropping the gun... as she pulled back he slumped to the ground coughing blood, seems she may have ruptured some organs with the force of the impact...soon she took note of a painful stinging in her shoulder making her roar as she felt up her right shoulder and found a metal handle sticking from her...seems he did stab her, as she ripped it out and began to treat her wound she couldn't help but chuckle at the incident... unable to think of it as anything else other then Karma for charging any prey carelessly when they are armed. It wasn't to long till the sun set, and her job was completed.... she had taken the skulls from each of her Prey, each one more successful then the last until the shuttle settled overhead and she climbed inside, presenting the bag made of humans skins to her Mentor, filled to the brim with human skins before he counted them and handed them back, nodding in acknowledgement of her work.
After many more hunts to come over the years she finally was called in by her Mentor for her final training, she was being sent to fight and kill 6 Humans with Armor, strong metal based swords, and two rifle, finally she was given a new suit, a set of ceramic composite armor, a cloaking system, a single harpoon and two metal traps... this time, she was sent to kill men Humans who were fully trained to kill the unknown and in turn placed and captured for that exact purpose. These prey, although human she understood in her mind that they can still kill her like and should not be underestimated. As she hovered over the jungle she examined the area quickly, her Mentor looking her over as he speaks, "Sil'tja soutju uj'ik re'de." "Finish this Task, and you will be considered worthy of our gaze in the eyes of Kv'var-de." with a simple determined look she stared at her mentor, her eyes filled with a desire, an instinctual need to not only be deserving but to join the ranks of the Hunters... Wordlessly Vara'ule reached into her helmet, removing her Sound wave Amplifier entirely, then removing her cloaking system hands them back over to her Mentor before then removing the optical sensors in her helmet... she stared at him.... her look speaking every word as she removed the instinctual tools they used in battle, the things that made them strong, what they relied on, but not her. As she finally turned and put on her helmet, hopping out of the shuttle a faint clicking was heard from behind her, Did she just please him, or amuse him?
As she slowly approached through the forest, hopping from tree to tree she finally noticed smoke overhead, a obvious heat signature she has seen before. Immediately she grew more gentle and careful with her leaps as she came closer, she noticed the group... immediately they began speaking in some unfamiliar language as their body lit with reds, greens and yellows, the noises echoing through her ears as she counted the... All armored, two had some sturdy heavy hatchets, one a spear, and two with rifles...oddly though... one was unarmed.. as she watched them urgently speak to each other her hand naturally moved to her helmet to engage the recordings and immediately flicked it to life... recording their words. Then she watched as they stood up and slowly marched off in a direction. By her count it would take only 2 hour to reach the edge of the woods and get to a clearing, and only 4 hours till sunrise, she had to hurry. Vara'ule launched off the branch taking off into the direction they were heading, as one human seemed to have made an odd noise, uttering, "Hm?... Oh.. nothing... thought I heard something."
As she reached her desired destination she began to set down four bear trap, covering them up nicely by some patches of grass before climbing up into the tree and silently waiting overhead, listening careful for those distinct little cracks. Soon though an hour passed, as immediately as she almost decided to head out and figure out where they headed those cracking noises picked up in the air, something was crushing leaves. Immediately she would snap back into position, crouching on the branch as she peered down, the group walking underneath before she heard a scream of as one of the hatchet bearing ones got caught in the trap she set. The unarmed one running to help get it off as the two rifled men get into position scowering the area and the speared one and hatchet bearing one cover the unarmed one. First she looked at the Rifle Men, making them her first targets as she flicked out her wrist blade in her right hand and pulled out her harpoon in the other... immediately she hopped down, staring at the unarmed female, her head couldn't even turn before the first two lunged her with their hatchet and spear, as the spear lunged forward and the hatchet swung down Vara'ules right hand swiftly sliced through the spearman's left hand taking it off, disarming him, and chopping the frail metal in two with her wrist blade, her left hand stabbed forward piercing upwards through the hatchet bearing preys skull and smashing through the helmet before she quickly yanked it out and tossed it into the shoulder of one of the riflemen before charging into the shadows with gunfire streaking behind her, grazing against her armor plating and nearly hitting her with a precise aim, as she took into the dark she circled around them, brandishing her wrist blade as she dived back in charged her blade piercing right through the back of the riflemen's helmet before gripping kicking the back of the 2nd riflemen's knee, putting him on his legs as he cried out in pain and not stopping her spree as she twisted the harpoon inside him and yanked it out of his body before cleanly and swiftly taking her wrist blade to his neck, slicing his jugular before sauntering over to the final two... the hatchet bearing one would push away the unarmored girl, it seemed that this one was a female aswell, never the matter as it swung its hatchet heavily through the air, and as the arm came down, it came down hard, especially as the wrist blade smoothly left it flying in an arch through the air and flopping on the ground. The hatchet bearing woman would collapse to the ground, crying out in pained gasps as she gripped her nub of an arm. Vara'ule stepped over the fallen soldier, her wrist blade brandishing and glowing in the sunrise as she stared down at her prey, roaring in challenge for her to get up and fight, the soldier finally stared at her before hazily passing out. Vara'ules would click happily before she noticed a shimmering red light from her chest and an eruption of burning pain in her side, as she turned back the unarmed woman she left untouched was holding a small handle pressed against her back.. an Energy Sword, the intense pain leaving Vara'ule roaring in pain before she slammed backwards knocking the woman back and quickly staggered forward turning off the blade and tossing it far into the Jungle, as Vara'ule turned around, the woman shakily grabbed at the rifle rom her dead comrade on the ground, and as her fingers touched the gun Vara'ules large foot pressed down on her hand, twisting and crushing it...her hand would immediately clench at her hurt side as her spare right hand reached to her helmet and flicked back on their earlier conversation, letting it repeat from earlier, the word's were clear, the woman's own words clear as day, taunting her.
"We are all going to die."
Vara'ules would crouch in front of her master back at their Clan House, as she kneeled before him he took acid, pressing it to her upper left chest as he burned the crest of her clan into her skin, in his hand a small bowl filled with the green bubbling stuff before he sets it down and helps her to her feet, he spoke clearly, "Sej'u ge'ra essa ber'me, yu'ni osa de'kunu." "You have done well, you are now recognized as apart of the clan young one for your boisterous hunt, however you have yet to be recognized as a full fledged hunter.... You will not be fighting such measly prey, this prey will put you to the test. Gather your gear, rest up and prepare yourself. We leave soon. Welcome to Kv'var-de Young One."
Why should we whitelist you?
Ironically I was requested over PM's by SAS to make my Predator App, and Coronel also Responded making comment to joining his clan, I however had my exception that I start as a bottom Young Hunter and RPly work my way up through actual combat and how I do, they seemed happy with this (To the best of my knowledge of emotional analysis over text. x3)
My personal belief is because I have implemented the IC Predators Code into my IC Battles which only made things easier cause of my preference of CQC. Of course always letting my Runners fight first at times leads to my death as survivor but it makes the game challenging again! Not only am I restricted under Predator Code but I'm also lacking any armor, I only have a standard harpoon/Alien Knife/Primitive Mask/Fire Axe (Replication of Wrist Blades, Alien Harpoon, Alien Mask, and Glaive in that order.), No cloaking abilities, no masks or helmets to block huggers, no full sight from seeing in the dark, and to add the worse part I'm a Mortal Human easily wounded by the smallest scratch, I don't find this even slightly aggravating, I find that that it again to repeat brings challenge back to the game and makes me improve on myself and rework my thinking in strategy.
My knowledge as proof: While upholding the Code During survivor rounds I have learned to stay to the jungles sense the Aliens use roads, aswell every door is a blockade even if the blockade is only a second so closing it is exceptional to block them aswell as masking your tracks. Speaking of tracks never step in Oil, Blood, or Acid as it tracks your steps and you don't know if any of those things are going to pass by and chase you sense the prey are quicker then you. Runners will pounce at you, but if you move two steps and hold still you can actually make them land near-by, if they land next to you falling on the ground missing you, you quickly chop them into crit but NOT KILL THEM (very important sense you have the knowledge they communicate) then kill the huggers, pull open their wounds a bit then either kill them and RUN straight into jungles (Not lockers, they will search nearby lockers you hide in.) Or my preferred? You drag open their wounds enough they bleed out, by the time they die your already gone and that's 9 more tiles of distance from the creatures about to swarm that area. Now, the most important thing you need to know about hunting and survival is to not rely heavily on your cloaking, guns and toys...but to just.. listen, hide a moment behind a tree where they will not notice you hiding behind as they run by or in survivors case you just get nearby, don't open a single door, don't step on glass, DONT MAKE NOISE, but listen to their noise. Hear that step of glass?.... Now there breaking a window...now a wooden barricade... now a girder...Where are they?! Listen a little closer.. their opening lockers... there in the woman's dorms searching for you, but your not there cause you didn't hide in the obvious spots. You decided to be smart and hide in that Boxing Glove Closet in the Rec Dome, but they NEVER search there because not only is it not in the nexus but its right under their nose where they won't look, you closed the door behind you before they even got there so they never heard the door close and never heard the closet close, then you turned off your light so Dark vision doesn't alert the glowing light in the locker.... Your now an entirely invisible presence that can't be found and you can tell where everyone else is at by sudden cues, good work!
Third thing on my own behalf is I'm very well known player who has a reputation for Heavy Based RP while also being damn good in Combat (And never really realized it, still don't believe it cause I see where I can improve, but others seem to believe I am and sometimes I need to just trust what others see in me.) I participate in events and always follow it with a Code example of, "Common Sense". SAS once surprised me in dead chat saying, "If I knew Casca was here I would have offered her a position as W-Y Operative, she's someone I can always trust." it literally made me break down into happy tears knowing that I was actually doing the right thing and being recognized and appreciated for it by Staff I highly trust and highly respect and didn't really think noticed me at all at the time, as silly as that sounds! x3 You can easily say I have the experience and passion for these invested characters I make and aswell go the extra mile to constantly improve myself simply to make myself a better player and human being on that reason alone.
Do you understand that any player - donor or otherwise - can have their whitelist status revoked should they break our rules or disobey the Predator Code of Honor?
Absolutely! I also absolutely agree with this decision cause if I myself are to fuck up and not preform to satisfactory condition for some reason? Then I am probably not suited for the title and honor at the moment and need a rest till staff see me improve! I won't fight it, I won't argue, but I would apologize for failing to meet your expectations and in turn letting you down, I invest in these things cause I know people count on me to be an example player. =)
(I am adding one more category that I believe is entirely important for the Application on my own behalf.)
Proof of IC Knowledge:
Yautja are a race of Humanoid Species who stand between 7-8 feet tall. Their skin can vary from Tan shades to a dark green (Such as Celtic from AvP). Their heads are elongated and they have mandibles on their face that vary in multiple sizes but only have 4 of them ever, the purpose of these mandibles is unknown but speculated to be used for either Communication or Mating Rituals. Their skin is thick and holds a strong resistance to biological contaminants such as diseases/ Acids/ And is incredibly durable to the point they can take on high doses of lethal radiation to humans and heal incredibly fast. Yautja upon inspection have only three toes on each foot oddly enough and five fingers each hand. A Yautja is strong enough that they can punch solid concrete and leave a nice little hole while being able to jump quite high in the air and fall from a good recorded height of 70-80 feet (Ten times their height, holy shit.) Yautja's bodies are capable of aswell being exposed fully to extreme colds or incredible heats, however their preferred climate for comfortability is in damp, warm and hot climates like a Rain Forest or Jungle. Yautja Elders have been known to live up to hundreds to thousands of years, this means at a Yautja's peak if they survive they could live to this advantage and nearly watch human civilization fall and grow.
Yautja equipment includes many assortment of different tools, but primarily we will take about the equipment provided In game. The Yautja wrist blade is their main weapon and can vary from one to three blades that range from 12-18 inches long, most of the Elites and Elders use Dual Wrist blades in combat, these blades they use to skin their prey and aswell is their preferred weapon to use while on the hunt as it's the most honorable and cleanest method for a kill. Yautja's aswell use Cloaking systems (best used on help intent so when they run into you they don't notice they ran into an invisible object blocking their way.), Biomask that helps increase their eyesight and uses many different spectrums to help while on the hunt and aswell contains a Soudwave Adapter that can record and playback anything their prey says or aswell tune in and modify calibrate itself to hone in on a specific area and take in the sounds at that moment, such as someone whispering underneath them. The Yautja Glaive is a massive pole arm used to take down prey that is of more unusual size, however the use of the Glaive against smaller prey would no doubt ruin the hide. When worse comes to worse a Yautja has their Plasma Caster which they will only pull out if in a tight position or overwhelmed, they don't use it as a main weapon to hunt because of the fact it would spoil the meat and burn the hide, add to this it's so powerful that it wouldn't be an honorable fight to use straight off. A Yautja aswell contains several Traps and a Harpoon. The Harpoon is a good tool if in the chase but only should be used if they believe they can retrieve it from the targets corpse as they aren't given very many, aswell the trap should only be focused if they are prepared to wait for their prey to come to them and then slow them down while they cannot chase. If a Yautja is injured they can dispense medical equipment to take care of their injuries although limited, aswell a Yautja can if worse comes to worse set themselves up to detonate as their armor senses them going into critical condition, this method is mostly used to preserve any other species from obtaining their technology and maintain the secrets they hold dear. Their Armor is made of Padding/Chainmail/Helmet/ Gauntlets/ Greaves and Pauldrons mixed of unknown materials and ceramics making it light yet durable.
Thank you for taking the time to look over my Application and I look forward to RPing with the rest of you! ^~^

Congratulations
You have succeeded in making me jealous of your writing skills and of how much the staff like you. I was at first eh since while you are VERY WELL KNOWN you only have eight posts and I was going to sorta pick at that. However You blew me away with the story and for the reason you chose it, Brought me too many feels.
I also will now start playing survivor more to get a sense of what you have done. It's intelligent for someone just playing a game and I love it, I am very sure you will get predator. Make us proud you smart woman!

Re: Vara'ule Kv'var-de (Young Huntress)
Thank you so much! I was incredibly worried at first it wouldn't be good enough, and I was disappointed and upset I couldn't extend the stories a bit on how she did each kill and her time along the way, but in the end I didn't want it to exceed 10 Paragraphs, and sadly I got to 15 Paragraphs and just had enough... ended up saying, "Okay..I have to shorten this." then shortened it down to 13 Paragraphs before finishing Autocorrect and ending with 14. Then I had to shorten said paragraphs. My entire story in mind had the concept of me not wanting her to be some big hunter, I even wanted her height to be smaller then most Yautja on purpose. In the end I developed the reasoning that she's still Mortal, and Humanoid, not a Perfect being, she makes mistakes and is still capable of being mortally wounded, we all are, so even as a Predator wouldn't she be? In the end I practiced that into my character, her restrictions, belief, and overall cocky at time attitude gets her hurt, and like any mortal she takes that failure and learns from her mistakes in hopes that it doesn't happen again.
Aswell I didn't want her to seem like a powerful almighty Huntress, again I wanted her to start from a point she was small and hadn't done the big stuff, at most she was simply trained. Her infamy and growth in rank among the Clan will depend on how well she does on the hunt, her feats, and he trophies she gains.
Seeing your praise puts me at ease honestly, and that's incredibly appreciated sense I was freaking out last night about how I could have made it better. x3 Thank you, so much for your kind worries, seriously, it means a lot.

Though i never met you (i believe), it's very clear that you put a lot of effort into this, and you have pretty much all the information down spot on. Also for going for a short female pred hehe.. Well made all in all. +1
Also, you can be part of the clan of someone else and still be a young inexperienced hunter.

Re: Vara'ule Kv'var-de (Young Huntress)
Welp....just killed the Queen with a fireaxe after chasing her down in the caves for about... 15 minutes with a Predator. Ended up finding the Queen with a Runner and the Predator played by mitch chased down and killed the Runner and I charged the Queen without a helmet and with my axe while she tried to run, shot her twice with a rifle, chopped her in the back of the head with the Axe and then critically injured her in that one hit.. I felt so bad I paused for a second before snapping out of it and just finishing the job in the second swing.
Afterwards Casca dragged the Queen over to the predator who cut the Queens hide for Casca, presented it to her as a present and got on a knee and bowed in respect of such a "frail" being accomplishing this task. Casca tried bowing back to show her respect and the Predator shook his head at her. x3
This guys, is why I suggest practising CQC. Your knife should always be your best friend, cause when your gun let's you down and runs out of bullets your surgical steel combat knife is always ready to chop some hides. And if worst comes to worse? Punch the shit out of them, punching fixes everything, you can even critical runners by punching them even before they were nerfed.

Sidenote if we could still crit with punches, I would punch the shit out of aliens, no guns just fisty cuffs. Also you owe me a knife fight still, you know when we actually have it so knives don't stick into people. But keep up the good work nice queen kill, wish I was there to see it!
