I was part of the incident in the OP. But I was also an engineer trying to assemble a turret. We had 4 turrets and I think only 2 got assembled because despite people being told they were trying to be put together, idiots/griefy bastards kept pushing me. It was rather salt-inducing.

Marines leaves bombs with cameras on shuttle, OB the shuttle. Marines OB the shuttle again, breaching the shuttle and the planet to space. When we boarded the Sulaco there were girders in place around the shuttle. I'm usually against aliens breaching because it reduces number of late game players, but fuck that round. If you do that powergamey bombing your own shuttle shit I will melt your ship down around you.

Edit: Box of bombs and OB was on the shuttle the first time the queen called it down, which smacks of pre-planned meta. Argh, okay, just had to vent.

I have a good one.... Playing as Alpha Squad Medic my squad discovered two survivors camped inside the generator room of the colony:

>SL and I approach the south door of the room
>Survivor screams "STAY OUT I DONT WANT TO DIE"
>SL introduces himself and steps inside
>SL shot at by survivor
>I step announce from outside the room that I notice one survivor is injured.
>Survivors allow just me, the medic inside to fix him
>I fix him slowly while talking them down
>They explain aliens and deaths of the other colonists
>They refuse to leave the room but say that my squad may help set up defenses here (Our squad orders were to hold the generator room)
>Engineer goes to work setting up turret
>Stupid engineer sets turret on 360 mode and activates it
>Immediately shoots one of the survivors
>Other survivor rushes to his friends aid
>Turret shoots him too
>SL steps in front of turret to shut it off but is also shot by the turret
>SL and one survivor in crit and the other survivor bleeding from the head
>I go about fixing all three (not an easy thing to do all at the same time)
>SL healed with no major issues
>Both survivors healed but each have at least 1 broken bone
>Explain that we must have them taken to surgery
>They agree and the second they walk into the open the engineer turns on the turret and says "I dont know why it shot the survivors!"

I was soooo angry. We had a great RP going on with these survivors and this chuckle-f*ck engineer killed them both.
