i understand why these changes were added as people abused the shit. but it makes things difficult when a spec cannot have a sidearm

Here are the pros and cons about the recent change

Pros.
1. stops the occasional dickbags carrying seven guns in the backpack

cons.
1. specialists now cannot have a sidearm and are now incapable of bringing a sidearm. that means once you run out of ammo for the sniper or rocket you have NO weapons, and you run out of ammo for those very quickly in any combat situation pretty much entirely removing the use of a spec and removing any reason to take anything but the Armour

2. you now cannot effectively take any secondary weapons as a marine. if you lose your primary which happens often you have nothing to fall back on

3. pistols dont fit in the pockets. no easily accessible sidearm.

i saw a weight based inventory being thrown around a while ago and i think this is the best way to deal with inventories.

the problem is these "small" changes make it very difficult for marines and there are now excessive amounts of weapons being taken down in lockers because there is no way to combat the excessive disarming and melting of weapons and there is no secondary you can use to fight back with if you get disarmed

also i'me seeing up to ten marines coming back each shuttle ride because their weapon is gone.

I've found a solution, throwing knives, fill up all containers and slots with them.

i havent played for awhile, do you mean that we can no longer even carry SMG's in the backpack?

Yeah I noticed that I couldn't put my service pistol in my pocket so I resort to putting it in my suit storage while I use my primary weapon,and I also just don't carry the smg seeing that I can't put it in my bag.

Maybe put the pistol/magnum in the BELT slot?
Or does it not fit there now?

Ech, the change isn't that big of a deal.

1. You can just use your suit storage slot to carry an SMG/Gyro'd rifle and keep the spec weapon in your hands.

2. See 1.

3. Opening your belt/backpack isn't exactly difficult.

This is just my observation, but I haven't personally had any issues with this change. It's certainly nice not to have the occasional marine constantly pop up and shoot your hive up with the half a dozen SMG's they've got stocked in their pack.

we cant carry smg's in the backpack anymore? i mean i can understand limiting your backup weapons to just one, but not even one?

damn....i picked a good time to stop playing
