Okay, if this is what you wanted. i legit hit myselft, then i thought that he hit me, and the logs show that the first hit was by me, on myself. so, im sorry about this. i want this to be lifted that would be Great, once again sorry.

As you can tell from the screen shot, as I hit myself I said ht? Bad spelling of what. I thought he hit me, and my point of him saying follow me is shown in this, I am very sorry, I do enjoy this server and I wish to be part of it once again.

I find it hard to believe, you'd misclick and hit yourself, then storm through beating him senseless with a toolbox.

Especially give the duration of the event. You hit him for 5 straight seconds, with him not taking any action back. That's excessive.

Given the time between hits and what I saw (I reacted so fast because i saw the incident) he was trying to escape.

Yes, you hit yourself, but then you didn't hit him for several seconds, and he replied after he saw you hit yourself.

You were TOO EXCESSIVE in your beating him to near death with a toolbox. I believe, that you picked up the toolbox with the intent to kill him, or at least someone.

That coupled with your previous appeal of "Like, Bruh. please. " makes me think we are probably better off without you here.

Okay, listen. That first title was a bit bitchey I can agree.. I was quite mad at the fact I was permed for a stupid reason, but i see that now. I know that I was a bit crazy about attacking this man. And I am sorry! I have played this server a few times now and I no way did I want to grief it, I also know that this is a heavy RP server, where things like killing a man with no concequence is crazy. I truly ask for your forgiveness, and if I were allowed back into this server I will think much more carefully in what I do, I had no intention on greifing this server, and I hope that you can forgive me. (Sorry if this sounds a little cheesy, I am truly sorry.)

This case is extremely on the line, that screenshot also makes me suspicious for the reasons pointed out by Magikarp and Apop.

Why... Should the bar at the top of the screen matter? I apologize for my apparent lack of knowledge in this matter. A simple look at the logs corroborates the screenpic anyways. Since we've already verified that the screen pic provided is accurate, whether it was falsely edited or was just, say, his "Custom skin" or whatever isn't really... significant to the topic of his intent that I can see.

While he did attack him needlessly and excessively, we do draw distinctions between "I shot everyone for funsies" bans and "He shot me (once) so I shot his head off" bans, iirc. One is permanent and one is not.

So the question isn't really whether he's deserving of a ban or not, as he clearly is any way you slice it. The only question is how long the ban should be.

I feel like a permanent ban is somewhat excessive given the possibility that he honestly made a mistake. It's just so... final. Usually I like to hold off on permanent bans unless there's evidence beyond the shadow of a doubt that the player just jumped on to "Shoot shit up"

I think a 5 day ban would be more appropriate, taking into consideration that he may have set this up so that he could "Get away with it" or he may have made a mistake, but either way there was no massive amount of damage done to the round IE: Supermatter exploding, Sulaco being set on fire or multiple marines being killed.

Because, on all versions of CM, the top bar of the game, should read: (beyond logo) Colonial Marines.

I was just curious as to why it wasn't there.

Permabans aren't final, hence the appeal.

But, I was the person to permaban him, and saw what happened. He was hitting gabriel and chasing him, Gabrial grabbed an Roxy tank, and ran into a shower to protect himself, with this guy following and smacking the whole way.

My concerns here are:

1. He attacked, without understanding the situation, which he caused. Is he going to use this as an excuse in the future? He accidentally "misclicked"
2. He CHASED the guy and kept hitting him.
3. The guy got to the point, he tried to use soap to defense himself and yelled for help, and he kept bashing.
4. He joined the server, had a toolbox, and was instantly in red intent.

That is ignoring our rules, and proving lethal force was intended against a marine. Typically, I ALWAYS permaban when someone blatantly murders someone after spawning in, especially with weak defenses such as "He hit my first" and "it was a misclick". I believe, his intention was to start a fight or some sort of problem. There's 0 reason for him to have a toolbox that early, and less of a reason to be swinging it around in red intent.

Unrelated to the appeal, but when a client get disconnected from a byond server the title bar gets cleared, for some reason.

Please, I would settle do a 5 day ban, I agree with that staff member. I know what I did was wrong, but I had no intention of griefing this server, once again I'm sorry, I just want to play on this server once again. If I can come back on I will, not do things without thinking about the concequences of the heavy rp and rules of the server.

I support his permaban being lowered to a 5-9 day ban for griefing; personal note from Apophis alerting staff to take severe action if he violates the rules again. My opinion is insignificant, but in my opinion all players deserve a second chance if they are willing to change and better themselves.

I know this looks like a greief. I know. But like I have said in the past I had no intention of griefing. As we were in the game I was very confused on why j was being questioned. I feel very stupid on looking on what my actions were. CM is very harsh on player vs Player combat. Especially if there was no need for it, all I want is one more chance. I do enjoy this server and I am massively sorry for the trouble I have created. Sorry for the delay in reply, problems with the wifi.
