Predator Speed Breaking.

Bug Description:

During my time as Predator last I was speaking with a Survivor and RPing with them in the terms of giving them the chance to redeem the honor they lost by cowering from the aliens and letting their group die without a fight. After taking him under my wing and he accidently threw an Alien Blade (the tiny knife on the map every marine bum rushes game start along with black webbed vest.) and it promptly got stuck in my chest which I had to RP out yanking out, we uncanonized it and that's when I realized I got bugged. Upon taking the Alien Blade into my chest in reduced my speed lower then the Queens who was even walking faster then me while I tried to run about (That's how slow it was in the exact sense.). Ordukai and one of the Mods tried healing me but that didn't fix it, what was needed was for me to be deleted and respawned in just to fix this bug. If you can figure out the source of why this weapon caused this then it would be appreciated.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Pick up and hold Alien Blade.
2. Toggle on Throw, then throw at Predator.
3. Try and walk around as Predator cause you cant do much else then race turtles and lose.

Can confirm. This has happened to me on a constant basis when I get a knife or some such lodged in me as Predator, even after I heal fully I still move slow. Happened my most recent predator run as well.

The longer it continues the more players have been abusing it, doesn't help that this post to fix it is publically up for everyone to view aswell.

Yeah..honestly hope I don't see marines lodging knives into me on my next predator run to abuse this. It makes no sense that it'd be from pain due to the fact predators don't slow down untill deep orange health..

That's not even slightly funny.

To quote Apophis.

"If you find a bug and you start exploiting it for your own gain then you are an Asshole, if you find a bug, exploit it, then tell others to do it then you are much more then an Asshole."

Note: The party members who exploited the Welding Helmet bug that day when he said that got banned after they continued to exploit it. Then Apophis fixed the bug and nerfed the Welding Helmets while he was at it.

Take example from the Example players like Mike, Natalie, Tanya, Mark, Adam, Osalaa, Dolores, Jack, Joseph and all those others by actually improving by learning and not exploiting bugs that will lead to your inevitable ban.

Also, be careful what you say, some new people might actually get that in their minds and take you seriously and go, "Well on the forum Wyatt justified it." and I don't think you want to be associated when that happens.

My suggestion? Try what staff do to clarify jokes by following up and plainly stating, "I am kidding by the way." Or, "But in all seriousness, _________" that way they understand your joking sense emoticons are vague.

The annoying thing Is that even if you don't try to abuse this bug it will still happen if you engage a predator in melee and have a knife.

Agreed, funny thing is? Using a knife vs wristblade in a Duel is not a fair fight... not even kidding, you will get that knife stuck in his armor and unlike the knife those wristblades do consistant 35-25 brute damage, so you would do your knife of 25, then start having to punch others with only 5 brute force at best and it doesn't help the armor is going to deflect the damage you already do from the knife.

How do you do a fair fight then with a predator? Remove your helmets, then fist fight to the death. That's how you honor duel a predator sense their punches don't do any more damage then a humans. No knife is needed and that knife is going to screw you over 100% of the time if they are conscious.

The metal bat is great weapon if you lose you're knife inside a predator. Ask Jones about it heh

I have NO doubts about this xD Bats have a chance to knock a player down, just like Fireaxes do when wielded.

Eeyup, i think the speed broke when I removed it actually. Don't think I suffered any penalties from it being in me otherwise.
